Rising far above the twisting masses of charred trees, the Ebony Tower is the lair and laboratory of Leonardo the Unliving. Self proclaimed as his 'Magnum Opus', the tower is constructed of his own living flesh, with a tree sprouting within the upper courtyard made of his grafted skin and organs. Within the tower is a twisting maze of laboratories, necromancy rituals, and failed experiments, detailing the twisted work performed by Leonardo the Unliving to experiment on the bodies of the living, fusing them with other creatures. Within the tower, Leonardo defeated legendary heroes Bar-Then the Kneebreaker and Thomm, with Bar-Then the Kneebreaker sacrificing himself so that his friend Thomm could escape and complete his mission in The Shadowfell. After operating on the subject for many years, Leonardo 'perfected' his creation of a monstrous flesh abomination that once was Bar-Then the Kneebreaker, now turned to a savage flesh giant serving the nefarious whims of his Vampiric overlord. After an intense battle with the adventuring band known as The Sunsations, the living tree of flesh, with Leonardo the Unlivings heart within, was destroyed as the tower collapsed into the very same Burned Woods which it arose from.
