Haellae Colaerth

Runewright
NPC

Raised within the mystic Runewrights, Haellae, also known as Hel, learned much from the elder Runewright Blizz. Studying under their arcane knowledge for the majority of her childhood, Hel sought greater things later in life, as she joined the Emris Adventuring Guild. It was here that she made lifelong friends in The Sunsations, a band of ragtag adventurers which travelled across The Sarranid Desert and beyond. Exploring the far expanses of The Badlands and eventually through the Burned Woods into the shadowy plane of The Shadowfell, Hel began to discover much about herself. It was within the twisting forests of the Burned Woods that Hel was turned into a Vampire by the poisonous bite of Leonardo the Unliving. Grappling with her seemingly endless bloodlust, she came at odds with her close friends, The Sunsations numerous time, even attacking the young Gibbly to satiate her carnal desires. After the events of the Battle of The Four Armies and discovery of Raven Rock, Hel was a changed person. Returning to her familiar yet distant homeland within The Sarranid Desert, Hel felt foreign and outlandish within the city of Shariz. Deciding to venture on her own and apart from the Emris Adventuring Guild, she set out on her own path of self discovery with her new affliction at hand.

The Lily of Life

Shariz

In a surprising turn of events, Deimos, the myserious god of death, approached Hel in Shariz with a proposition. Concerned that Balthazar's malevolent plans would disrupt the delicate balance of life and death he had upheld since the dawn of time, Deimos offered Hel a way out of her vampiric curse: The White Lily flower. This mystical bloom held the power to cure her vampirism, but it came with a condition—she had to kill Balthazar. True to his word, after Hel played a pivotal role in vanquishing the archdemon, Deimos appeared to her once more, this time to bestow upon her the promised White Lily. Upon touching the flower, Hel felt her vampiric curse lift, replaced by the long-forgotten warmth of the sun on her skin. Thus, Deimos honored his pact, and Hel was freed from her eternal night, rejoining the realm of the living.
