"A stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet!"

Penny, a captivating pink tiefling, hails from the tranquil Emerald Earth Sanctuary, a place where serene waters meet emerald whispers and ageless stones. Her journey began alongside her mentor, Morgan Lowblade, an aasimar bard who introduced her to the world of bards. However, this bond was severed when Morgan vanished, taking with him her cherished flute. Lost and determined, Penny roamed in search of Morgan, only to cross paths with Gundren Rockseeker. This encounter led her to Wave Echo Cave, where, upon touching a fragment of a mysterious Key, she unwittingly became a warlock to The Forgotten God.

Her adventures took a turn when she finally located Morgan in a temple forgotten by time, besieged by a medusae. After a perilous rescue, Penny's bond with the Key deepened, but thanks to Kal, she was freed from The Forgotten God's grasp. Returning to her roots, she retrained under Morgan's guidance, embracing her true calling as a full-fledged bard, with a history as colorful as her pink hue.

Dreams

Level 5

You dream that you're suddenly back on the road with Morgan again. The sun is shining over you, and you feel that everything is right with the world. Morgan is steering the wagon, while you sit in the back, playing your flute. It's a song you know well, but one you haven't played since before you met your current group. As you play, you feel a sudden bump in the road, and notice the wagon slowing down.

You hear the footsteps and breathing of the horses stop with a creak, and the wagon comes to an abrupt halt. You turn to the front of the wagon, and it's no longer Morgan. You look towards the horses, and they seem to be frozen in time, gray and dull, as if turned to stone. Before you have time to look around more, you suddenly feel two hands grab you from behind, and everything goes dark.

Level 6

When you dream, you find yourself in a void. It's almost as if you're floating, as you can see yourself, and you can feel that you're standing on something, but you only see a vast emptiness. It's not pitch black; it's as if everything around you is blurry, and you're 'between layers' in a way. You quickly realize you're not wearing a thread. You stand there, completely exposed, like a nerve, looking around for something to tell you where you are. But you see nothing, neither landmarks nor objects. The only thing you can see is that suddenly in the distance a figure comes towards you. The same figure you've dreamt about in the last few days. He doesn't walk towards you; it's as if he just glides towards you, or you glide towards him, but he becomes larger and larger until he finally towers over you.

'It is time,' you hear the figure say, flatly.

You see him stretch out his hand, take out what looks like a very intricate and ceremonial knife, cuts his palm, extends it downwards towards you, palm facing you, and you see a nauseating green and dark energy flow out of the dark wound, towards you, and into your body. You feel intense pain, and you're lifted into the air by the energy, about to lose consciousness before you wake up.

'These are your first steps...' you hear in the distance.

Level 7

You walk through a corridor. A long corridor, bright, beautiful, made of what you would guess is pure marble, but it seems to glow, and you can feel the warmth from it. Not hot enough to hurt, but just a pleasant warmth that feels good against your skin. You walk down the corridor, and eventually come to a door. A beautiful door, with gold edges and an icon of a sun marking the entrance.

You open the door and go in. There sits a beautiful woman playing a harp. Golden skin, long flowing light hair, covered in various jewels that shine in the sun. She turns towards you, smiling, but as soon as you make eye contact with her, the smile stiffens. She throws away the harp and starts moving away from you, further into the room she's in. You start walking towards her, calmly, but determinedly, and she raises her arms. She says something, but you can't make out what she says. She's cornered; you can see tears welling up in fear. You bend down and wrap both your hands around her neck. You don't recognize them, thin, frail, pale, with long, ugly, black, DEAD nails. You squeeze. She struggles, but she can't push you away. You see the room getting darker and darker the longer you hold, and as soon as you see life has left her eyes, you notice the room is now pitch black.
You let go, her body falls to the side, and you stand up. To your right, you can see a silhouette. You turn and see in the mirror, only a reflection of a thin, bald man, with a dirty cape, and empty eye sockets staring back at himself.

Level 8

You dream that you are sitting on a throne. A massive high stone throne, atop a mountain, overlooking a city you don't recognize. A massive city, with gilded roofs, flowing rivers, magnificent large trees that spread through the parks, thousands of people living their lives and doing their daily routines. You feel the wind flowing over you, and you can see your pink hair fluttering in the wind. Suddenly, you see that everyone stops and stares up at you, as they bow down, as if worshiping you. You look down at your hand, and you see that you're holding the key, but it's complete, shaped like the symbol Demetrius drew earlier. You think it feels good, to be in the position you are. But you suddenly notice threads sticking out of your hand, your arm, your fingers, your legs. You look up, and you can see your patron above you, smiling, as he holds your strings.

Level 9

You dream that you are in a chamber, but you can't quite determine the size. Everything outside your immediate area is dark, so dark that you can't see. You feel that you are lying on a cold stone table of some sort. Your hands and legs are tied to the edges, so you can't move. Around you, out of the darkness, you notice several figures emerge. All of them are covered in black cloaks, so you can't see their faces. Everything is in grayscale for you. You feel the cold around you, a slight breeze as if there's a draft through the chamber you're in. Panic and anxiety start to set in, and you see one of the cloaked figures pull out a ritualistic knife. A knife you recognize, with two blades joined together into a dagger. Before you have time to think about it, while the rest start singing a ritualistic chant, the one with the knife steps forward, and drives it right into your chest.

Level 10

In your dream, you find yourself in a large open valley, covered in tall grass and beautiful flowers as far as the eye can see. Above you, the sky is a nice dark blue, with small clouds drifting by. You feel a very strong sense of peace that washes over you. A peace you haven't felt in a long time.

But, as you look around, you see something starting to move towards you from the horizon. A dark shadow, flooding over the sky. You begin to feel fear returning.

The sky above you turns blood red, the sun disappears into a black hole, and the ground beneath you starts to shake. You're about to stumble but manage to stay on your feet. You take a deep breath and decide that you will not fall under again. You start running towards the shadow.

As you run, you hear a melody, weak at first, but the more you run towards the shadow the stronger it becomes. You get the impression that it's a song representing hope and freedom, and you hear that it's your own voice singing.

The shadows only grow larger the closer you get, but you don't stop. You continue to run, and hear your song getting louder and louder until you finally collide with the shadow.

You feel intense pain when you make contact with the shadow, but you don't let it stop you. You feel people around you, and you realize that it's your friends who are behind you holding you up. You stretch out your hand, and feel the energy flow from your friends, through you, and against the darkness. The darkness is shot backward, away from you, like a cannonball shot out of a cannon, and you stand alone in the valley surrounded by grass and flowers.

Above you, you see that the sky is blue again, but the clouds have disappeared, and the sun shines down on you again.

You feel a sense of peace and freedom now. But in the distance, on the horizon, you can see a storm heading towards your valley.

Level 11

You find yourself on your way into a massive hall lit by countless candles covering every surface. You have your violin with you and move into the hall towards a large set of double doors. When you open the door, you come to a throne room that you think you recognize. On the throne sits a weary king, Tristan Bouchard.

You approach him, playing a beautiful and rhythmic melody on the violin while singing a song about peace and harmony, without crowns or thrones.

When you finish playing your song and come up to him, you see a tear fall from the king's eye, and he lifts his crown, the symbol of his power, and gives it to you. You feel the weight of the crown as if it's something you recognize, but at the same time, it's foreign enough that you can't place it. A bit like a song you've heard but don't remember.

You hold the crown for a few seconds, studying how the jewels capture the light from the candles around you, before you gently place the crown back on the king's head. He gives you a nod, and you come back to yourself, lying in bed again. When you've woken up, you can almost feel the weight of the crown in your hands, and you feel the rhythm of the melody you played inside you, before it suddenly disappears.

Level 12

When you close your eyes and lie down to sleep, you feel a strong coldness coming from behind you, pulling you deeper into the darkness. The only light you can see comes from the symbol on your neck, which glows faintly, but strong enough to illuminate. You feel a strong discomfort in the air, and you feel that someone is watching you, even though you can't see where it's coming from.

Gradually, you become aware of a low humming sound in the darkness in front of you, a bit like a huge spider plucking at its web. The noise intensifies as you hear rustling, multiple legs clattering over an unseen surface. Your pulse quickens and the rustling gets louder and closer.

Suddenly, in your peripheral vision, you notice massive shadow-like legs emerging, each one seeming to jerk and stretch, as if testing the limits of an enclosed space. The feeling of being watched becomes more intense. The humming transforms into a gurgling growl, resonating in the room you are in.

You take a cautious step back and immediately feel the light on your neck pulsing, like a warning light going off. You notice that the shadow-like legs retreat, but only slightly—as if the creature takes a moment to reconsider, not to retreat.
No words are spoken. No explicit warnings given. But as you begin to wake up, the growling fades into a whispering whisper at the edge of your consciousness, 'So close, but yet so far.' The mark on your neck feels colder than ever, a symbol of a hidden threat waiting to pounce on you.

Level 13

In your dream, you find yourself in a lush forest, where the treetops stretch towards the sky and sun rays dance through the foliage. You walk barefoot on a soft path covered in moss, feeling a familiarity with this place, as if it's a home you've longed to return to. The birdsong is harmonious, and you hear a distant melody that seems both comforting and mysterious.

Suddenly, you hear a faint cry from an unknown source. You follow the sound and discover a small, injured creature lying hidden under dense foliage. It looks like a mix of a child and a forest spirit, with tears running down its cheeks. You bend down to comfort it, but just as your fingers touch the creature, it disappears in a flash of light, leaving behind a whispering voice saying, 'You cannot save them all, but you must try.'

Around you, the forest begins to transform. The trees grow taller and darker, and fog creeps along the ground, swallowing each step you take. In the distance, you hear a low, recognizable growl – the sound of the same creature from your previous dreams. You can feel its presence as a dark weight in the air, a constant reminder of a looming danger.

You continue to wander, driven by an unexplainable need to find something, or someone, in the forest that is becoming more and more unfamiliar to you. With each step, the forest becomes more distorted, and you feel more and more alone. It's as if the forest itself is trying to lead you away from your path, but you refuse to give in to fear.

In the distance, you see a light. You run towards it, your heart beating fast with both hope and anxiety. When you reach the source of light, you find a clearing, where a single tree stands in the middle, glowing with a warm, inviting light. At the foot of the tree lies a book, old and bound in leather. When you open it, you see blank pages that begin to fill with words right before your eyes. They write: 'The power to change is within, but the path is fraught with shadows.'

As you read the words, you feel a deep connection to your own power and purpose. But as quickly as this realization comes, the book turns to ash in your hands, and you are left alone in the clearing, with the words echoing in your mind. 'The journey is long, the night is deep, but your light can pierce the shadows.'

You wake up from the dream with a sense of both power and an overwhelming sense of responsibility. Even in the darkness of the night, you can still feel the warmth of the glowing tree and the weight of the words that were revealed to you.
