Session 117: 13 December 2022 - Honeycomb
The party agreed to follow Hipofilius on his scouting mission under the waves. Expecting the entry that Moxena described, they are surprised when he returns and gathers them. Small beings under a potions spell, Xan laughs as they appear next to Theo at his same proportions.
They approached the underwater entrance, a prison. Making their way through they pass the Jankan. The father captured on this island. He is trapped on the end of a long chain. Xan, out of her own interest, tries the lock. Magically locked.
A staircase and corridors lead them up.
Xan takes the lead.
She steps to a wall of honeycomb. Nothing there? Something moved underfoot. A monster hisses and snapps its head out into her face from the holes. Snarling and biting. Alarms ring out.
A flash of dark hair shoots into the montster’s lair. Rushing around the corner she drops into one of the holes after Calliope. A Hydra. Faced with what felt like a million heads, they attack at once..
Wait. Where are we?
Xanthis, Hipofilius and Calliope can see the reptillian creature. It is unsteady on it’s feet and flails with ten heads. Water sits at the base of the lair where Calliope is stood looking half defeated already.
Before she knows it Calliope has dashed past the Hydra, it seems to have been encased in stone on one of it’s feet - Hippofilius?
Xan spots the Siren between the honeycomb stone, moving quickly around the walls. Her eyes are locked on her as she dashes into a room after a quick picklock. Xan sees the room she has entered surrounded by her allies, Argurious hovering at the frame and Braz in the corridor where the floor looks uneven. A damn pressure point. Clever.
Xan dashes into the doorway and launches a dorata at the warrior in front of them.
