A Lady's Honour

Session 25
2020-09-10

As the group leaves The Lamplight Guild, it's already getting late. Labrat mentions that she would like to get some food and when the party starts discussing where to go to eat, Jak o' the Wisp intervenes demanding in a tantrum that they must first get Sirona Boyd's dress mended as it was slightly ripped in the combat. After some unfruitful attempt to calm the bard down the group gives in to his needs and lets him take them to a neighborhood in the commons that has a lot of sewing shops. They find an older woman and asks her to mend Sirona's dress which she skillfully does in an instant.

Jak o' the Wisp then leads the group back to The Docks to a tavern called The Squirming mermaid. For five gold the group gets tables on their balcony which a great view over the sea. Adrian Maulitz finds that the establishment even sells some of his family wine. Jak o' the Wisp orders six bottles of it, much to the rest of the parties suprise and dismay; along with a large variety of different seafood dishes.

As they wait for their food to arrive, Jak o' the Wisp proposes a drinking game.

After a long and complex expalination into the rules of the game, the basic principle is whoever gets drunk first looses. Irdien Talvaeth does a couple of fake sips but Sirona Boyd rather quickly becomes incredibly intoxicated to the point when she starts saying things she ordinarily wouldn't. After making an indelicate comment about her delicates, Irdien intervenes and tries to sober her up. As the dinner progresses, Sirona remains very drunk and decides that she needs a bathroom break. Irdien again goes with her to make sure she's alright.

When they are returning through the crowded taproom, Sirona feels a hand on her bottom. She tells Irdien who managed to mask her fury and sends Sirona back to the others. Irdien demands that the guilty culprit admits what he did but the dwarves at the table keeps ignoring her until she terrifies them. They respond by wanting to beat her up. Irdien retreats, but at that moment Adrian steps in trying to talk them down.
Having understood what they did to Sirona without her explicitly declaring it Jak is enraged and wants to fight as well. He is however forced back from the escalating situation upon the stairs of the establisment by an enraged Labrat, and therefore settles for singing an obscene version of the ballad 'Diggy Diggy Hole', aimed at the dwarves in question. The attempt to deescalate the situation quickly fails, and a fight breaks out between the groups.

It doesn't take long for the group to knock the five drunk dwarven men unconscious and to make sure the message is clear Jak urinates over on one of their faces. It makes the search through their pockets slightly less desirable, but they do end up getting 18 silver pieces together with the money Irdien managed to pickpocket from the leader of the troublemakers before.

Feeling rather unwelcome at the The Squirming mermaid the group decides to get back home but as they leave Labrat catches the scent of grilled fish at the pier. She leads the group to essentially a snack bar maned by a friendly man called Amir. He sells them delicious grilled herring fillet wrapped in paper which the group happily devours.
As they pass the guard post on their way back home, Jak luckily spots the guards that let him pass unnoticed into Eldolan last time, and they get home without any further incidents.
