  1. Races

Bētin Chameleon Lizardfolk

Reptilian
General Description
Bētin Chameleons are much the same as their Poolish counterparts, only they tend to lack the crests and horns of their UPP brethren. They also tend to be a little smaller.

Magical Nullifiers
Bētin Chameleons retain the magical resistance and total inability to use magic of their Poolish brethren.

Merchant Race
Much like the Centaurs, the Chameleons of Bēti have thrived as the world outside their borders have come into contact with them. Since they are not forced into a life of military service like those in the UPP, the Bētin Chameleons’ keen minds for organisation and value have been turned from tactics to commerce with great effect. The nation of Bēti is the second richest nation on Oerth despite its relatively small size, second only to the vault larger Troll Empire, due to the sheer amount of trade that comes in and out of the ports of the coastal cities they have built for themselves.

Multicultural
The various races that have settled in Bēti have vastly influenced their native residents. Their style of dress, subculture and even food is a melting pot of concepts from a number of cultures, all blended together into something truly unique.

Fungal Susceptibility
The Bētin Chameleons are noted to have unusual reactions to fungal hallucinogens.

Sub-Race Creation Additional

+1 Int

Magical Null: You have resistance to all magic attacks and advantage on all saves to avoid magical effects. However, you cannot cast any magic. You can still cast spells from magical items such as scrolls or enchanted wands however, as the Weave flows through the object to cast them rather than you.

Cunning Artisan:  As part of a short rest, you can harvest bone and hide from a slain beast, construct, Dragon, monstrosity, or plant creature of size Small or larger to create one of the following items: a shield, a club, a javelin, or 1d4 darts or blowgun needles. To use this trait, you need a blade, such as a dagger, or appropriate Artisan's Tools, such as Leatherworker's Tools.
