A bustling port town, ruled by a consortium of merchants, as opposed to a Count. Much of life in Eastport is focused on its role as shipyard and trade harbor; inns provide a good night's rest in an actual bed as opposed to a hammock, taverns provide entertainment for shore leave, and lumber is processed in the sawmills nearby for the construction of new ships.

History

Eastport has had the nickname of "Gate to the Cradle" for a long time before the Founding of Erenen, as it provided access to Cradle Bay and the lands beyond. Following the War of Shield and Spear, it became part of the newly found Kingdom of Erenen.

Every year, the Crimson Cannonade is remembered on the 17th of Midsummer.

Economy & Industry

The industry of Eastport is focused almost entirely on its shipyard and docks. Lumber camps within the Elenspine Woods send logs down the river Er towards the city, where it is cut into usable planks. The upper class of the city, mostly residing in The Palms, the city's trade district, owns most of the taverns, inns, lumber yards and docks, providing major sources of income.

This money is spent on security, keeping both the city and the bay safe, and invested in new trade routes and expeditions to faraway lands.
