Penrith is the largest town of the Queendom of Obren. It is tucked on a finger of the Tyrant Bay and below the Dragon Tooth Ridge. It is a boomtown having sprung up in the last 10 years after many mithril mines were discovered in the Dragon Tooth Ridge. Founded by Obren nobles and immigrants from Mol Tarum, specifically from Gol Bandihr.
The inhabitants have been attempting to keep their town a secret as they expand as fast as they can. Riches are pouring out and it is very hard to keep the secret of the mithril quiet.
History
Some 10 years ago a minor hailing from Woodvale in the Hithlinde Valley set out to the east to find his destiny. He would settle in a small valley just south of Dragon Tooth Ridge and at the top of a finger of a bay that spills into the Pool of Imma. He began his excavating and in a very small amount of time discovered Mithril in the hills. Knowing that there would be much of the precious metal within the veins he was discovering he let word get out. Soon Dwarves from Mol Tarum showed up, most notably Girmumlir Greatforged, a dwallen miner and traveller.
Soon many from far and wide would be taking up residence in Penrith as a base camp and the rest, as they say is history.
Geography
Penrith is situated in the valley of the Dragon at the foothills of Dragon Tooth Ridge at the top of the eastern most finger of Tyrant Bay. Penright sits amongst a lush green and fertile valley.
Economy
Fastly becoming the financial center of south easter Obren. The town has started to attract the attention of high house nobles from both Hithlinde and even Avalon beyond the Silver Mountains. It’s main export is timber and of course mithril minded from Dragon Tooth Ridge.
Garazan Azureheart (Mayor)
Garazan is a fine talker and loves to wear fine clothes. He has a soft spot for being a bit flamboyant and loves a good wine. He has made his money smuggling and trading with caravans of thieves and brigands though he poses as an exporter of precious gems mined from the Dragon Tooth Ridge.

A secret society that aims to kick out all Dwallen folk from the lands surrounding Penrith.
Law and Order
Penrith stands in the middle of a wild land at the top of an estuary. Penrith may have fallen to the might of the many monsters and mercenaries that haunt the hills and valleys long ago, but still they live on. The might of the people and their desire to make it work show not only their tenacity but also their stoutheartedness.
Militia and Defense
One hundred and twenty five town militiamen are what mainly protects and serves the people of Penrith Town. Armed with studded leather and a shield bearing the emblem of Penrith red and white fields with red foxes in the white field.
Mining
It’s true there is mithral in the heart of the Dragon Tooth Ridge and Penrith has the main claim staked on the land. Gold and moonstone are also mined out of the area but the main stake is mithral.
Timber
Penrith is housed in the middle of a lush valley full of enormous redwood trees as well as deciduous trees. The lands are overgrown and have been a haven for loggers for many years. The logging has made Penrith a forerunner of logging. Two main rivers run near penrith and are a means of moving large trees from Penright down south to the town of Wickdown the rivers are called the Red River and the Vemtarum River
Commerce & Places of Note
Penrith Townspeople have gold (and Mithril) in their pockets. There are many trades, businesses and money to be made hand over fist.
