Session 55: Due Rewards

Session
The story so far 2022-11-05

After having been forcefully transported to the Elven Aristocracy, the party found themselves trying to seek shelter from the rain and storm. They were first beset by murderous carnivorous ducks, then a giant stone golem, followed by an ethereal air elemental summoned by a group of cultists. Luckily they were then picked up by a carriage, driven by a human man speaking only Elvish, and in which was a hooded human figure who did not make much conversation but rather observed the party. They were taken to Hearthelm, one of the smaller settlements of the Aristocracy. Here, at the town's tavern, they were well taken care of, receiving free food, lodging, and baths, and cleaning. The innkeeper, Jerr, with the aid of his two most prominent workers, the 17-year-old girl with freckles and pigtails, Vesty, and her boyfriend, the down-lipped and hazy-minded wood-blooded Gerome, saw that the party had everything taken care of.

During dinner, the party spoke to an elven man, Daephostri, and deluded him into sending an overly verbose love letter to KB&S's Alex Shaw, under the name of Devinn Valkas; Arkorow's payback for his lost alchemical notes. The dinner's entertainment consisted of a band of elf-blooded musicians, the High Elves, a ska band that seemingly only Jerr enjoyed, as well as Disco Inferno, a band of tiefling musicians playing upbeat songs. This was followed by the gypsy trouble of Rosemeadowshowing up, though the party had no time to catch up with them as a message arrived for the party, telling them to meet in their room.

Here it was revealed that the hooded figure was Arepo, and he had come to reward them for the divine task completed. He took the hippogriff eggs and the basilisk youngling from them as well, giving them a safer home.
