My family was from Evermeet, the elven island far to the west.
There people spend their lives studying and practicing magic and following the spiritual leaders of the Undying Court.
They teach young elves the story of the abomination of the Blood of Vol, when back in times Elves and Dragons were fighting and to achieve the peace they wanted to combine the blood of both. The result was Erandis Vol, daughter of an elf and a dragon, people thought that it was an abomination and decided to kill the bloodline.
But some Elven houses that had aligned themselves with House Vol were spared and banished, they kept their faith and spread it to the Human kind too.
One night of my childhood I've been awaken by loud screaming and I immediately went and look for my parents. I followed the voices to a room I had never seen before, hidden on a wall in our house, there were all kind of weird jars and bottles and scary sculptures of elves with dragon's wings and legs.
That night my parents were executed for treason, and I've been banished from Evermeet forever. I was just a kid.
The Blood of Vol found me because they knew my parents, and they took me with them. They forced me to follow their religion, to practise their rituals and they made me a monk. I've learned how to fight, be quick and how to destroy their nemesis. They forced me into the way of the shadows, I was able to be invisible to most of the creatures and that made me their weapon to use as they wanted.
I couldn't evoid that destiny but inside, I've never felt like I was part of them. While growing in age and strength I've started planning my escape. One night I finally got my chance: during a ritual in which everyone else was inebriated by wine and drugs I used my power of becoming one with the shadows and I left.
