ENO-4-RE “CONTEMPORARY OFFICES”

CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES:

N/A

DESCRIPTION/EXTRANATURAL EFFECT:

The Contemporary Offices is the name of the strange and shifting building in which the DNM currently resides. Discovered in 1963 it's situated on the corner of King Edward and Rideau street in Ottawa. It is generally ignored by any who pass by it and are not otherwise informed of its existence. The building it is listed in all official documents as under the use of the Department of National Defence (DND) to provide a smokescreen.

It appears the same effect that makes it unremarkable to a passerby also extends to operations by the DNM making it much easier for us to operate under the radar. When someone is no longer employed by the DNM, over the course of two weeks they will forget the location of the building, its existence, and anything related to us. Some notable exceptions exist, of course, such as Agent Carter, Director Johnson, Serge Monastand most recently: Agent Karter Walker see ENO4-RE-AR for more details on these incidents.

Interior of the offices
While the exterior of the building is always a fixed size the interior shifts constantly and seems to have no upper limit to space it contains. All emergency exits lead to a single doorway on the outside of the building, and the rare window seems to look out in logical directions.

The interior of the office seems to slowly shift ever closer to current day standards without any need to procure new furniture or change things inside. However, the brutalist architectural style seems to be here to stay. The CO takes care of itself. Technology newer than 20 years old seem to function strangely, assuming from the rapid leap over the past two decades. Sometimes they outright don’t work or react violently.

Research into the history of the Contemporary Offices have revealed extraordinarily little. Its history before January 22nd 1963 is unknown. As of event IBE-6 we’ve changed in all official records the building working toward it being publicly listed to be a dormitory for the University of Ottawa, known as “THÉO” (see report ENO4-RE-RB for more details). We are using ENO6-ME in this process to keep public perception off us.
