Steeped in great wealth, a long and storied history, and global centrality, the Kardunashi are natives to the island of Kardun, dominated by the city of Kardunash. The Kardunashi value hygiene, trade, commerce, seamanship, and familial bonds. The Kardunashi are strong worshipers of Zot, who is the patron deity of the city and whose faith is centered in their lands.
Kardunashi put a great deal of importance into appearance and hygiene. The city is dotted with multiple public baths and people are generally expected to bathe at least once a day. Due to the city's prosperity, even the lower class is usually able to afford makeup, jewelry, and other cosmetics. Kardunashi often adorn themselves with various gold and brass cosmetics, often ear coverings, earrings, lip rings, studs, rings, and other items. Makeup is also commonly worn, with eyeshadow being a near universal cosmetic applied to Kardunashi. Kardunashi usually wear flowing robes owing to the climate of the island. White and gold are the predominant colors though various colors are common owing to the wide variety of dyes available to the people of Kardun.
The Kardunashi usually have golden, white, or grey eyes. Their hair is usually white or grey.
