Imperial Senate

The Imperial Senate, called the Ba'puhru (lit: "Great Assembly" in Urumite) is the legislature of Urum. The Senate is incredibly powerful, with its power rivaling and even superseding the Emperor at times. Senators are elected from the people of Ürum, with the Empire split into one hundred districts which each elect three Senators. The leader of the Senate is the Chancellor, who is elected by a majority vote of the Senate to be the Emperor's chief advisor, which means that the Chancellor often has significant sway and power over the politics of the realm.
