The Azurian War was an attempted invasion of the Feywilds by Azuria, Princess of the Deshenite Kingdom. Though Deshen did not openly support the venture, he did not stop his daughter from amassing a large army and fleet for the purposes of conquering the continent and it is believed that he quietly lent her his blessing. She and her fleet ignored several divine warnings before and during their voyage. When the coast of the Feywilds came into view, the Gods Si'ita, Airon, and Weer summoned gargantuan sea beasts, a massive storm, and gigantic waves and swells to completely obliterate the Princess' fleet.

One ship was permitted to escape, sent back to K'deshti as a warning against another such act. On the only surviving ship was Unknown, Azuria's twin brother and second-in-command. He was so disturbed and traumatized by what he experienced that he did not speak for seven months upon his return home.

The Azurian Fleet arrives to a fortress on the island of Kardun. After dining with Prince Urshu I, they would continue on their mission. This would be the last time nearly all of the crews of these ships would be seen alive.
