The Age of the Gods, also called the Golden Age, the First Age, the Immortal Age, the Deshenite Era, and the Antediluvian, was the period of time from the creation of the Universe and El-Bayir to the beginning of the Second Age

The Age of the Gods was characterized by the following notable traits:

  • The Gods were incredibly active and present on El-Bayir, frequently intervening and conversing with Beldkind
  • The Beldkind were immortal and possessed incredible powers, their leaders holding powers on par with some Gods
  • The Beldkind were politically united into a single kingdom, the Deshenite Kingdom, ruled by Deshen, the King of Mankind
  • El-Bayir enjoyed relative peace and stability
  • Culture, knowledge, and architecture reached heights which have still not been surpassed by modern states, with Mankind's great cities covered massive tracts of land and reaching high into the sky
  • The Gods became increasingly concerned with the unpredictability, ambition, and pride of Beldkind, especially King Deshen, and especially after the Sins of Deshen
  • Due to the Sins of Deshen, many subjects of Deshen became disillusioned with their king, leading to several exiles of Beldkind. The first (and most notable) was the Exile of the Elves
