The Crimson King, also called the Lord of the Bloodstar, and referred to by some as Sufket, meaning the "Final Foe," is one of the El Shaddai. It is a being of blood worship, necromancy, and sacrifice. It manifests in the physical world as a blood red star in the sky.

The Crimson King revels in suffering, agony, and brutality. Its goal is to make Its way to the physical realm, upon which time It would drown the World in pain and chaos until only a formless sea of blood remained, at which time It would reign eternal. The Crimson King has done this to other worlds and even entire universes in the past.

Its most famous worshipper was Canoron, who attempted to summon It to the material world through the mass sacrifice of thousands of people, prompting Beld to personally intervene and smite the entire city of K'deshti and Naron to instigate a flood which would drown most of Beldkind.

Adherents of Beld consider the Crimson King to be the ultimate foe of all life, Beldkind, and existence itself. It is even more of a threat in the eyes of the order than Apollyon, Donere, or even Waazi. Its existence is a closely guarded secret among the Order of Beld, only divulged to the highest ranking of the goodsiblings, and the secret purpose of the Brotherhood of Mankind is to find and destroy any signs of the Crimson King's influence.

At present, the Crimson King is kept imprisoned by the Order of Beld since the time of the Great Flood

In the templeofsomething, the Order of Beld combats the constant attempts by the Crimson King to escape. Fifteen priests stand in constant unending vigil over the sarcophagus, endlessly using their magical powers to contain the Crimson King. They are sustained through magic, but nonetheless age and will eventually die, requiring replacement lest the whole world be cast into ruin.

The Crimson King is the child of Ohmiahm and Karad-Dun. It seeks to usurp both parents and gain lordship over life and death.

In addition to the Lord of Bloodmagic, the Crimson King is also the Lord of Undeath. In the undeath offered by the Crimson King, the flesh remains alive while the soul dies. Adherents of the Crimson King are able to sculpt flesh, bone, and sinew, creating horrific soulless monstrosities which they can bend to their wills.

The Crimson King goes by many names. To the Vyukti It is most commonly called the Kroormaharaja, meaning Butcher Lord. To the Xiao It is Xuehuang, the Blood Emperor. The Morikh call It the Khagan of the Crimson Host

The most commonly associated colors of the Crimson King are red and black.
