- He's a young, 20ish-year-old half orc. He's enormous on all counts, he's extremely tall and also rotund. He keeps a top- knot hairstyle as is customary for his people, but he can't yet grow the great beard which is also the norm (his green face is covered in a light stubble).
- He was exiled from his warrior tribe when he failed the combat test during his coming of age ceremony. He never cared much (or had any talent) for martial prowess despite coming from a very Sparta-like tribe, but he found that he loved cooking and eating.
- He worked for a while at a roadhouse, cooking and staying out of sight by living in the back rooms, until the locals (who have suffered at the hands of the local orcish tribes) discovered him and ran him out of town.
