Greater demigods are powerful entities that command respectable followings, but don't quite have enough power to be considered godlike. Many of these demigods, like lesser demigods, are children of gods or other demigods themselves. Others claw their way to demi-godhood by hard work or seizing another's power.
Greater demigods are recognized to possess either great power or influence, capable of actively shaping world events and entrenching themselves in history. Cults of worship often build up around these gods due to their force of presence, especially significant as most still occupy a mortal form in some respect.
Demigods often choose champions in order to spread their influence and power. They will grant minor boons to these champions to keep them alive.
