Halflings are small, simple folk that tend to enjoy easy, relaxed lives, mostly concerned with what to eat and drink for the day as opposed to larger crises. They often live in hill towns, generally only with other halflings.
It's rare that a halfling will leave their home community for adventure, but some become taken by wanderlust on occasion. More commonly, you will find those that have been pushed out of their homes, usually from a threat they are incapable of fighting. Strangely enough, halflings are prone to fits of bravery. Where this stems from is unknown, but it usually springs forth when their beloved status quo is threatened.
