Advar's Tavern is a modest tavern in the south end of Tevari Port Town. It is run by the dwarf Advar Birchkiller and the elf Lyria Hwindelwen.
Pelts, prize heads from hunts, and various canvases depicting a number of dwarves are hung haphazardly upon the walls, layered thickly from many years of constant additions. The tavern hall is dimly lit by weak candlelight, and if you can bring yourself to ignore the overwhelming stench of dwarven body odor, the warm light might almost seem inviting. Droves of drinking dwarves, laughing and yelling as they engage each other in contests of strength, often fill the hall. Behind a large wooden bar are barrels upon barrels of various dwarven ales, and what could be assumed to be a menu, scrawled into a large plank of old wood.
Advar runs a special challenge known as the Donkey Shit Challenge, in which a willing challenger must down a whole mug of mule feces without puking. To the side of the bar are canvases depicting various dwarves that emerged triumphant, among them Leadbelly Fargus. Those who complete the challenge are afforded immense respect among the denizens of the tavern.
A set of stairs in the south side of the tavern lead up to a hallway of doors, leading to the rooms of the tavern. The air here is noticeably fresher and more fragrant. Each room is maintained carefully, containing quality elven furniture and artistry. The decorum is tastefully arranged and well kept. At the end of the hall is a door leading to the bath, which is kept very clean. The upper floor is obviously Lyria's handiwork.
Judging by the number of dwarves there, it appears to house the entire dwarven presence in the Tevari Islands.
Some time before the party's landing in Tevari, Grognock found his way to the tavern and bought a bed for the night.
