Merin Lavelle is a human mapmaker who lived in Tevari Port Town with her friend and master in cartography, William. She was last seen in Madrioc, where she said she was heading north to assist in the rebellions against the House of Azdragast in Pallam.

Description

She has a medium height. Her frame is obscured by the large, puffy robes she wears. Her hair is a bright red, and would extend far past her shoulders were it no held up in a sock bun. Her eyes are a piercing green, and she wears large bottle glasses.

Skills and Abilities

Merin seems somewhat capable of feats of strength, being able to carry an unconscious William with relative ease.

History

At some point, Merin became William's apprentice, and began to learn the art of cartography.

In Gessaria

Tevari Isles

Merin was captured by the bandits in Tevari following William's possession by Kreegal. She claims she was caught off guard and taken to the bandit hideout. She was held there for a time, but the reason for her capture is unknown. She was released by Eugene Wormtail, who she thanked, and proceeded to tend to William.

While escaping from the bandits and Storm Knights on Sordin Isle, Merin told the Peas that she was actually high nobility from Pallam, and was set to be married to the younger brother of the next king. She worries that the Rain Knight is actually Zerist Adragast, who is coming to find her to secure his succession to the throne, should something happen to her sister.

Merin escaped alongside the party back to Tevari Port Town, where she nudged William into rewarding the party for their efforts. Before the party left, she supplied them with some of her maps, a map of the Nightspell Moors and a map of Gessaria.

Madrioc

Following the destruction of Tevari Port Town, Merin took one of the rescue ships up to Madrioc, eventually meeting Journey there. She calmly described the events of the past few weeks, detailing the involvement of Ventrex Caustar and the Rain Knight. She told Journey she was heading north to Pallam in order to participate in the rebellion against the House of Azdragast. She asked Journey to keep an eye out for someone who could literally turn into a sword.
