Kradva Ospen

This character is dead.
Prince of Suffesia
NPC

Kradva Ospen originally described himself as a ministry diplomat from an unnamed country in Atavar, but was in fact the second-born son of the Royal House of Ospen. He was a weak and cowardly person, but exhibited fits of bravery, such as when he stole the Sallow Stone away from his family to prevent its abuse.

Description

Kradva has a light complexion and dirty brown hair. His frame is thin and frail, and his soft face is usually contorted into a sort of crooked, nervous smile. However, his fierce green piercing eyes seem to hint at a different nature. Perhaps, under other circumstances, he might have been someone great.

Skills and Abilities

As a diplomat, Kradva was trained to be a smooth talker and mediator. What he was trained to do and what he is capable of doing are two distinct things, however.

It is likely that Kradva, as a royal, was extensively trained in various skills more fitting to those close to the throne.

History

Kradva was the second born son of the royal house of Ospen in the in a kingdom of Atavar. He originally claimed he was some sort of diplomat before being given a mission of great importance, to deliver something discreetly to Madrioc. In truth, he actually though of his life as wretched and unfufilled, depressed at the actions of his people. Seeking to do good with his life, Kradva stole the Sallow Stone from his people, and fled to the Nightspell Moors in order to give the stone to Renbedar Uleshan.

Quest

Kradva once held the Sallow Stone, an artifact of great importance he wished to deliver to Renbedar in Madrioc. Ever paranoid, he never really elaborated to the Peas what his exact mission was.

In Gessaria

Kradva was aboard the Dirty Whale on its voyage over the  Fissured Sea to Tevari Port Town. He was stripped down by the Storm Knights, who found nothing on his. He made it to the port town with the party, where he apologized for his cowardice.

Tevari Isles

Kradva hired the Peas to escort him to Madrioc, frazzled by the dangers he faced upon arriving in Gessaria. He was later kidnapped by William, who was possessed by Kreegal, and the party rescued him in their attempt to find Merin Lavelle. When the group was huddled in a cave to wait out the heavy rain brought around by the Storm Knights, Kradva produced a scroll for the spell Zone of Truth out of his sock, and forced Merin to speak about her heritage.

Up to Madrioc

Kradva went with the party across the way to Dorim, hiding from the wrath of Tarisi. He cowered in the back of Victor's Inn during the attack of the nightlurkers, waited patiently in the city of Vardev while the party dealt with the events in Kinoclast, and barely escaped the blind wrath of Arghan. He stayed with Wierson Kolf in the hot, hot tower by the Bandry Keep, nervously shimmied across a rope over a broken bridge, waited patiently for the group to finished their business in Whort, got kidnapped and stabbed on the way to Kerakoss, and ran from the attacks by the Nightseeker on the way up to Madrioc.

In his travels with the party, Kradva was kidnapped, attacked, maimed by both friend and foe, and left on his own multiple times. Still, the cowardly man managed to survive all the way up until he had almost reached his destination. After all his suffering, Mardyth the Shade apprehended him, cutting open his throat and stabbing his heart.

The party talked to Kradva once last time when Phaelnah used her magic to talk to his soul. Kradva gave them some details about his mission as well as some information about his past, and faded away one final time.
