Spell Description

Corpse Bomb

4th Level Transmutation (Ritual)

Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Touch
Components: V, S, M (A pile of ash)
Duration: 8 hours

You alter an aspect of the creature’s anatomy, turning them into a bomb. Choose a living or dead creature in range that you can touch. If the creature is living and unwilling, they must make a Constitution saving throw. A small mark will appear on the back of the creature, marking them as a bomb. If the creature is deceased, the bomb may be triggered as a bonus action, detonating to affect a 20 foot radius around it, prompting a Dexterity saving throw from creatures in the area. On a failed save, a creature in the radius takes 4d6 fire damage and 4d6 force damage, and half as much on a failed save.

When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, you may affect an additional creature for each level above 4th. Corpses will explode simultaneously when triggered, and the magic will be harmlessly undone for still-living creatures.
