Current Location: Gan Caenn is usually stood guard of the Hall of Worlds in The House of Many Doors when not performing his duties as celestial executioner.

General Description: Gan Caenn is a Lesser God of unknown origin, and is the god of war as mindless bloodshed, wrath, vengeance, grief, victory, violence, slaughter, anger and pain. 
 
Forms: Gan Caenn only has one form, that of a colossal headless knight in ornate full plate armour. His armour is made of mythril and is black, gold trimmed, and covered in dents and gouges. His steed Unknown is a gargantuan daemonic war horse the size of an elephant. He wields a unique axe which he apparently crafted himself and the head of which is surrounded by purple smoke, which also emits from the hole in his neck where his head should be. 

Personality: Little is known about Gan Caenn as few have met him and lived, and none who has challenged him or been hunted by him have survived. He is unable to speak, not having a head. However, his presence is easy to detect, as wherever he goes a deep purple (almost black) fog, known as the Fog of War, rolls in and he is accompanied by the ferocious neighing and pounding hoofbeats of Nucklavee, the clanking of his armour and the sounds of hideous, out-of-place laughter that constantly surround him as he charges in pursuit of his prey. 

Purpose in the Pantheon: Gan Caenn was created by Jak'ra specifically to hunt those who have broken the divine laws of the multiverse, committed direct grievance against the Gods such as attempting to break through to the Astral Sea by force or kill one of their number, or committed an action deemed unforgivable by The Five. Fighting him is effectively suicide as his skills in combat are only surpassed by those of Marduk and he is known to be essentially indestructible. 

During the events of A Short Month, Dezrael releases The Unknown to distract him and keep him from interring in his plans.

Equipment: Gan Caenn wields the almighty axe Grief, forged for him by Jak'ra himself.
