Zibrust

This character is dead.
Former Chief of Tribe Threefinger
NPC

Zibrust was born during a bisolar eclipse (an extremely rare celestial occurrence where both of Orth's suns are obscured from Orth by the moon) and became Chief of Tribe Threefinger when his father was murdered, apparently by Afzal Jabbar. His birth under the eclipse is considered incredibly auspicious to the Lord of Blessed Shade the one of The Many Faces that his tribe worship, and he is believed to have a future as a great conqueror. He is known to be a wise and intelligent ruler, and is unusually compassionate for a Greenskin leader (allowing his deformed younger brother Wretch "Shadowborn" be one of his chief advisors despite his disability, for example.)

During the events of A Gathering Storm, Wretch was taken hostage by Dimitra Adamos and Xil Wrenlow. Wretch revealed to them that instead of in a duel, Afzal Jabbar had murdered the previous Chief of Tribe Threefinger (and Wretch's father), Aazhag while he was praying. The party journeyed to the Threefinger camp, and met Zibrust as well as his advisors Coldtooth and the Axemother. Through some peyote and magic fuelled visions, they came to the conclusion that Wretch's story is correct, but that there seemed to be something off about the Afzal they see. Wretch and Dimitra became close over this time, both outcasts in their own ways.

Returning to Redpride, the party confronted Afzal and come to the realisation that he was being mind controlled by Moirin Mhic Macdha, who they arrest. After her arrest, she revealed to Xil that she was a member of the Wood Elf Scouts and she was trying to avert the Shadowborn Prophecy as Zibrust was destined to burn large parts of the Imperial Troll Empire to the ground. Though she attempted to escape with the aid of Xil, she was executed by Afzal, though Xil used illusion magic to fake a resurrection.

Through some delicate negotiations between Redpride and Threefinger, a new duel was announced between Afzal and Zibrust at Stubborn Rock, to settle things and end the bad blood between the tribes. By this time the Orc named Hervok, a claimant to be Chief of Tribe Thundersteel, had entered Zibrust's camp as an ally and often acted to goad the Hobgoblin. Wretch snuck into Redpride Village to warn Dimitra about Hervok, and for her to be wary at the duel. Zibrust narrowly won the duel, but Xil challenged him afterwards, which Zibrust accepted at the goading of Hervok. Xil killed Zibrust, causing Wretch to emerge from invisibility and unleash his innate sorcerous powers to kill Xil.

Hervok attempted to steal the Threefinger Spear from Zibrust's corpse and claim rulership of Threefinger, but Dimitra, Erastos, Coldtooth and the Axemother stood up to him. Coldtooth and the Axemother were both killed in the attempt, but Dimitra held him off and cut off his arm. Wretch finished him off by liquefying him with fire magic and claimed the Thunderhammer and Tribe Thundersteel for his own. As Wretch used fire magic, the smoke formed a hooded cloak around him and his eyes began to glow red, revealing him to be the true Shadowborn. Wretch ended the campaign heading east, seeking revenge on the Empire as revealed in his epilogue. Wretch is also revealed in an epilogue to be the twin of Zibrust, and born whilst the moon was eclipsing both suns, while Zibrust was born just as it was beginning to pass over it.
