JF21. The Ruins of Tallran

Completed

Having travelled through the Talenta Plains (JF20. Infiltrating The Dragon's Horde), the Jade Foxes reunited with Canton Busby and Arranis at a campsite about a mile south of the ruins of Tallran.  Sleeping for the night, they were undistributed except by the sound of machinery from Tallran.  The next morning, Rahl Morninglow sent his familiar ahead to scout ahead.  Tallran itself was barely still in existence; a town that was heavily scarred by a long-forgotten battle.  There were several large crevices in the ground, and wooden platforms that had recently been built into them.

A campsite was also seen on the nearside of town.  Sneaking close, Sarran was able to overhear a conversation.  The speaker was informing Boras d'Cannith that Odessa's resurrection was successful, but binding the creature was proving difficult and might take some additional time, due to the level of control needed to make Odessa go where Boras d'Cannith needed her to go.  At this point, the Jade Foxes charged in and attacked the residents of the camp; Canton Busby held Boras d'Cannith with Evard's Black Tentacles.

With the battle over, the Jade Foxes interrogated Boras d'Cannith.  However Boras d'Cannith was confident that his plan had already been put into place.  Looking for information on Odessa, Kraxor Tyraneroth cut off one of Boras d'Cannith's fingers and poured mayonnaise over him, which persuaded the noble to talk.  Odessa was a dragon that he had resurrected, and was planning on using to cause devastation on the border between the nations of Breland and Aundair.  The Jade Foxes left him tied up and guarded by Sarran and Arranis; the rest of the party continued into Tallran.

Heading down the wooden structures, they found themselves in a man-made tunnel underneath the town.  It was noticeably warmer inside the tunnel.  Soon they found a body, which had on it Journal Found in Tallran.  They continued to head onwards to try and stop Odessa before it was too late.
