Odessa was a dragon that Boras d'Cannith was looking for, as his weapon in his plan to restart the Last War. The Raven Queen warned Rahl Morninglow about Odessa, due to her views of the undead as an abomination.
Odessa was found by Boras d'Cannith in the ruins of Tallran, which had been destroyed in a battle with the dragon. Members of House Cannith successfully resurrected the dragon, but their binding ritual to control the creature was interrupted by the Jade Foxes, who foiled the plot and saved Eberron from war.
