The time had finally come for the big expedition into Davokar to get to the ancient capital of Symbar. The town was a hive of activity, with many new arrivals coming for the journey. After stocking up on supplies, the party were soon summoned for the off. Gathered in the Queens Square was most of the town. As well as 400 Returners, the expedition was joined by:

  • XXX mercanaries, paid for by the funds secured by the party on their various missions,
  • XXX mages from Ordo Magica, thanks to the party's rapport with them,
  • XXX members of the Reformists, mainly healers, thanks to the party's help with their plight,
  • XXX of the queen's panzers - secured due to the party's reputation with the queen
  • The 3 elves, Keri-Las, Saran-Ri, and Godrai - now friends of the party.

All in all, about XXX were leaving for the forest. Soon there was silence, as Hurst stepped to a stage. He gave a rousing speech, stating that this was the first expedition of it's kind, with such a large and varied, yet unified group.

House Jorasco Internal Memo, Eyes Only for desk of Rico d’Jorasco, Sharn

Experiments conducted at Jorasco Facility at Vinehold Manor, week of 3rd Sypheros, 1002

Subject T3 - arm has been removed, continues to operate independently for approximately 24 hours before apparently dying.  No indication yet if arm is controlled by subject, or is a separate entity.  New arm regrew rapidly, and was functional around time of severed arm dying.

Subject T4 - blood injected from subject V2.  Quickly drove subject mad, had to be put down before laboratory destroyed.  Use of Mark of Healing had no effect. Possible sign that regenerative properties have different sources, and cannot be mixed?  To be investigated further.

Subject T6 - leg has been repeatedly severed and reattached.  Appears to be fully functional.

Subjects T8 & T9 - limb swap a success.  Arm severed from each, swapped and successfully attached.  Subjects appear unaffected by limbs being slightly different sizes (T14 a mature subject; T15 a juvenile).

Subject V1 - blood extracted, currently being tested on various plants.  No effect yet noticeable.

Subject V2 - arm has been removed, no ability to regrow.  Arm immediately turned to dust upon removal.  Subject seems to have healed rapidly; no sign of infection in wound, and stump has appearance of arm having been removed years ago.

Suggested Next Steps

Attempt attachment of T limb onto non-T subject.  Long-term viability not required at this stage; initial findings to focus on ability of non-T subject to control T limb. Request transfer of Jorasco healer with Greater Dragonmark to facilitate this.

Test weaknesses of V subjects (traditional weakness are allegedly sunlight, running water, wooden stakes).  These may be crucial in understanding viability of transposing regenerative abilities onto non-V subjects.  If weaknesses also transfer, may render V less useful than T for long-term benefits.

Investigate further effect of V blood on T subject; hybrid creature may be possible.  Note for further negotiations; House Vadalis agent that accompanied the most recent set of T subjects from Droaam seemed intrigued by the possibility of this.
