Emerging from Towers of the New World, the Others raid and devastate anything they find. Sometimes entire villages are slaughtered, other times the villagers simply disappear, herded into the Towers, and never seen again.

The others are short and sturdily built, a golden hemisphere of a face surrounded by their thick, leathery, pale grey skin.

They Call to the Sun in terrifying ways, bringing swift destruction on any who oppose them.

A death cult that is slowly gaining traction.

They collaborate with The Others (although the Others don't pay much attention to this) since they believe it will guarantee them a place in the next age. They think the others to be servants of Manghel, the godess of the moon they worship.

Since the rise of the Others' Tower (Coba), they believe they must redouble their efforts in the Valley of Pacna. To this end they are gathering members or sacrifices via various means (recommending they go north, ambushing them on the roads, planning desecrations of temples in the towns, and stealing holy relics when possible. “We kill Monsters, All Kinds”

Created by The Vaal at The Dawn of the Last Age the Peacemakers are sworn to defend the inhabitants of the world from Monsters.

They are biologically immortal, immune to all diseases, and all able to Call to the Sun

In the last fifty years, the End of the Last Age has begun. A new sun has appeared to consume the old one, which grows ever weaker. Towers of the New World have started to spring up, disgorging The Others into the world and rendering the lands around them hostile to life.

The Peacemakers are now often called to save places from these towers, or avenge those lost to The Others.

The peacemakers, though immortal, only have a memory of 50 years. It has been argued that this was a deliberate choice of the Vaal who created them, that they would always remain in the present, ignorant of their past.

The Peacemakers sing their histories, often the only remaining source of knowledge of the past, both for themselves and everyone else.
