This kingdom in southeastern Bruidan hosts incredible celebrations and a powerful slave army. It uses the soldiers to hold off attacks from Vrunthall to the north and Scasal to the southeast. Respect is earned by forging pacts with devils and demons who travel here from the elemental planes. However, people of all faiths and backgrounds are tolerated here, as Ethactics will use anything as a cause for celebration. Ethactic designers dictate the fashion trends of the world, and many strange and unusual objects and creatures find their way here from the far continents.

History

When the Elemental Gates where shut and war raged across the Inner Planes, tieflings from the Charred Dominion sought refuge in the Material Plane. Firebearer Taregan found a passage to the swamps of southeastern Bruidan, where he founded the city of Nekhota. His lineage ruled Ethax, as it mingled with the other species of the Material Plane and expanded across the coastline.

When Empress Rilitar Volum finally made it out of the jungles of Sharynnuur, she was greeted by armies of demons summoned from the Charred Dominion. Yet the tactful, organized strategies of the Volum army proved its worth once more as it decimated the chaotic hordes of demons fighting on behalf of Ethactic warlocks. Thus began the brutal Volic dominion of Ethax. The tieflings living here hated the oppressive rule of the elves, and worked tirelessly to find a way to escape their iron grip.

Finally, a few years after the disappearance of Rilitar, the weakened Volic army returned to Ushal, and four cults banded together to free Ethax from the Ushallian puppets that controlled it. The Breathless, the Fallen Phoenix, the Sanquine Society, and Titanreach were used to operating in the shadows, accessing horrific powers, and doing whatever it took to escape the watchful eye of the law. Now seen as the liberators of Ethax, these four cults entered a tentative truce, taking charge of the newly independent nation. They rule it as the people wish it to be ruled: rarely involved except when absolutely necessary.
