The Stone Lord Confederation is a dwarven republic made up of six commonwealths who each elect a Stone Lord to the Iron Council. This council governs the commonwealth's diplomacy, warfare, and international trade. The Stone Lord Confederation has been strictly neutral with the World Above for nearly 600 years. This neutrality has given the Confederation a great deal of respect with the surface dwellers of the continent and has led to Confederation diplomats being highly sought after as negotiators and intermediaries.
