Last we left off, our heroes headed off to the castle of Tilley to confront Harris. They met him outside the castle gates, alongside his right hand man Karlan, and Ratyn confronted him. He left, with Oris following him, trying to persuade him about moving the fundraiser, to no avail.
Ratyn went home, and Sett waited at the gate while Christopher managed to get inside the castle for an audience with the duke Edmin Arkelow, accompanied by Aggma. Christopher tried to forge a meeting paper, but due to stress was unable. The duke nether the less accepted to meet the two under short notice, and was pleased to hear about Harris's event being cancelled. He promised to come to Lady T's fundraiser.
Oris stopped at the market, trying to convince Glen and his husband to bring drinks to his party at the fundraiser, but was unsuccessful. All but Ratyn regrouped at the castle gates and headed off to tell Lady T the good news.
Later, Oris visited Ratyn for some therapy, while Christopher went shopping with Charle's six kids. Sett went home and was visited by Nida Velponda, with a future promise to spar and train together.
The next day, they gathered at the orphanage and made final preparations for the big event.
Christopher had a short encounter with an old friend Gregory, followed up with him punching the ground. Ratyn and Nila bonded. Sett made sure no weapons were introduced into the event, and Aggma went through the human equivalent of hell, only to end up playing with the children. Oris was introduced to Gina's new witch friends, who summoned floating spectral cats, much to the public's amusement.
Zachary came by, thanking the group again for saving his life, promising hospitality and delicious eel soup if they ever visit Blind by the sea. Christopher and Lady T opened the dance in spectacular fashion.
Towards the end of the dance, Harris made a drunken appearance, causing a scene, demanding to see his daughter Nila. After some back and forth between the two, and old wounds still open, she told him to go home, when an explosion from the kitchen occured. Alyna protected the children with a thorn wall, while someone screamed that a group ran away with some of the Gold!
