The group, previously in a cave facing off whisperers and a weakened Zachary, were transported to another location in a black and white world. They found themselves in a graveyard, with whisperers surrounding them but seemingly ignoring them. Close by, an old manor stood ominously. They inspected the manor, climbing its outer facade thanks to Ratyn's help. From there, they found a trapped corridor leading to a locked door with the sound of a crying newborn. Oris played music and danced a bit, triggering some reactions from the whisperers. Ratyn deactivated some traps to varying degrees of success, after which the whisperers entered the room from which the crying sound was heard, opening the large door.
Inside, the group found various shadow humanoids surrounding a crying newborn baby, and a dead woman lying on the floor. As soon as they entered the room, the shadows disappeared. Oris's sounds soothed the baby, revealing it's amber eyes. Aggma inspected the dead woman, figuring out that she died during labour. Oris changed songs, which displeased the baby, making it cry, at which point they were back in the cave and thought off three whisperers.
After the fight, they helped an unconscious Zachary, and inspected the dead woman. Below the woman was placed a small dice sized amber ball that jitters, stopping when touched. They decided to gtfo, and brought Zachary back to Juniper Grove's inn, where he will rest for a day to gather back his strength. A dagger found on the dead woman was given to Julie, which confirmed her as Cladia from the village. She will send the dagger to her relatives in Blind by the Sea along with the bad news.
The group travelled back with the venison to Tilley, finding out about a competing fundraiser organised by Harris on the same day as Lady Trudgeon's one. They delivered the wears to her, and informed her of Harris's competing fundraiser, which clearly bothered her. She asked them with figuring out what's going on, and come back the next day to organise the last parts of the event.
