Maximus was born in Arcastle but grew up in the city of Rosen to study Law. Heir to his Father's kingdom, Maximus was betrothed to Princess Isolde von Blumenthal at the age of 20, whilst she was 16. They married a year after and stayed in Rosen until Maximu's father's death a few years later, when they moved to Arcastle to rule the kingdom of Arden.
