Excerpt from the journal of a dwarf Dalgarn, the Bane of Rats, member of the Redwood Raiders.
Fur wearing spectre is gone. We think the way beyond the illusory wall might be clear. Got to be some treasure in there.
Came to the bone keep. Warlock and his feline henchmen were more active than usual. Overheard they got new reinforcements. Something about their allies in the caves as well.
Going down under the castle we've found ghosts of Relf and Caradog waiting to ambush us. The traitors! Thunder shatters them! I knew there was something shifty about them from the beginning. Might've been working with the Rat King?
Caradog ghostly grasp drained my energy before Boots was able to slay him.
Moved past the illusory wall. Found a shield, a battleaxe and a necklace laid on top of a stone table. Also three bronze caskets fill with coin. We took as much as we could leaving the copper coins and some silver coins behind.
Tomb belonged to some ancient warlord champion. I'm sure he won't mind us taking his riches. Considering we laid his spirit to rest and all.
Under the shield there was a ring. When I picked up the axe it whispered my name.
On our way back we heard the felines up in the tower so we decided to exit from the other side of the dungeon. Met no trouble on our way.
Back at the keep we had the baron's daughter identify the items we've got. We also bought better lock for our stash chest and another chest altogether.
Paying all that and the retainers cost us nearly all the coin we recovered. Necklace is apparently worth four thousand golden pieces. We're not sure what to do with the money.
The battleaxe I've got has potent enchantment cast on it. Incredibly sharp and can swath away arrows as they come at you. Yells your name when you swing it for some reason though.
