Expedition 18B: Amos' Worship

Lady of the sacred lock, I thank you once again for your continued blessings and divine intervention which makes my very existence justified and purposeful. I know it was by your good grace that I had asked for your holy light the morning before, even if I did not see its use it would be our saving grace.

It was by your good grace that I was placed in a cell with our most capable fighter, Rarder, whose sure arm and hefty constitution have been the bane of many undead.

It was by your good grace that me and Rarder found ourselves in the only cell with a hidden passage so that we could clear the way for our companions.

It was by your good grace that the staunch dwarf Alfredward discovered his hidden aptitude for picking locks.

It was by your good grace Dalgarn survived his grievous blow by the corpses which sought our recapture.

It was by your good grace that me and Rarder defeated the skeletons with alacrity which awaited for us, and surprised the ghouls we encountered in the entrance hall which would be our captors.

Finally it was by your good grace that the door we barricaded held sturdy as the ghouls railed against it, I know a door of that age and make would not hold long, surely only by your blessing it stood!

It is by your good grace that we now set out, destitute, cold, and frightened into the wilderness. I will not scorn this challenge my lady, for all suffering is growth.
