Mav is the founder and current head of Mav's Guild of Magickes, the Magic Guild in Arimore. Mav was born on the 2nd Tildus of Firewax 73BA reportedly inside of Ferrand Vitali's personal dungeons in Averton, and was quickly taken in by his Aunt Torell who raised him herself.
Taught magic intitially by his aunt, and an apparent prodigy in wizardry, Mav was enrolled in Alysium's Academy of the Arcane where he met his future wife, Thandra. Upon his expulsion from the Academy, Mav returned to Arimore to continue his magical experiments with permission from Lord Grigori Vitali. Following Thandra's graduation, the two married on the 3rd Festdus of Arcanfel 46BA and settled down together in Averton, starting a school of their own.
In 15BA the school formerly became as it is known today as Mav's Guild of Magickes, following a magical incident that saw his wife exiled from Arimore. Mav continues to live in the guild and teach there, known for his often off-topic but in-depth discussions of theoretical and experimental magic, and erratic genius leading to many accidentally useful advancements in magic whilst trying to achieve something usually magically ridiculous, such as his Deep Beard, whereby his own beard functions as a bag of holding. It is also rumoured that Mav can cast spells outside of the realm of wizardry, though reportedly this is very hit and miss.
