Elves are traditionally migratory, and many of them never settle down for one place for long. A majority of them live in the Sandsea, an extensive desert in the middle of the continent. The largest settlement is the holy city of Sritch, but few elves stay there. The elves themselves do not have a single place they call home, but constantly wander the sands. They herd horses, cattle, and goats across the sands, sleeping during the day and working or traveling at night.
Elves form extended family groups, consisting of several clans or related families that travel together. Each family claims a descendant from the ancient elvish city of Aleorinia, and each is responsible for trying to maintain an oral history. Elves are not allowed to marry another member of this extended family, even if there is no blood relation between them. Male elves must typically leave their family to find a wife, and become part of their wife’s family.
- Desert Adaption: Used to the hot desert climate, elves are more bothered by cold extremes than othe races. Elves suffer a -4 penalty to resist cold environmental effects.
- Low Light Vision: Elven eyes amplify light like a cat's, allowing them to see in the dark. Elves ignores attack penalties for Dim and Dark lighting.
- Agile: Elves are graceful and agile. They start with a d6 in Agility instead of a d4.
