Waxen Wind that Wends

Weather

A phenomenon seemingly driven by some celestial force, the Waxen Wind that Wends is seen as a sign of prosperity in all its forms, and is generally attributed to the Sentinel Sept as a whole.

Despite the harshness of the usual blizzards felt across the boundless North, this wondrous wind is considered to be a portent of great boons to come for those finding themselves in its path.

Blessings

The godsends provided always vary slightly, but some of the common miracles, along with the Divine they are usually associated with, are as follows:

  • Hei and Dal, illumination – as with Their namesake, light is brought upon those requiring it. Whether it be radiance whilst in the darkest of places, or wisdom granted when all feels lost, hope for the future will be sure.
  • Lil, gifts – a sudden stroke of luck when it has never been more direly needed. Perhaps an immensely bountiful harvest after crops have come to ruin, the emergence of a once hidden relic or near-mythical place, or a vast trove of resources and an influx of game and livestock.
  • Tan, direction – the path least expected, but also the one desired most. For travellers misplaced by circumstance, souls displaced to be reunited, or drifters emplaced upon a route they have never tread before. Happenstance will allow the seeker to find what they yearn for.
  • Uøm, ability – a catalyst imparting knowledge and impetus beyond the years, the experience, or even the realm. Soldiers perceive a burst of unexpected vigour and strength, discharging and flipping any exhaustion that may burden; a craft of legendary quality enhanced beyond what should otherwise be capable with the materials and design on hand; or hidden techniques offered up to supply words, signs, and expertise for an ongoing hardship.
  • Wön, comfort – the company of one is frequently necessary, but counter to what He is known as, what He is known for is the opposite. Fellowship in the hardest of times, protection from the dangers of the elements and the unknown, or safe haven that is oh so much more, and is the home which has always been sought.
  • Zoi, foresight – frequently the least obvious, yet seldom undeniable, intuition into what is to come is an extraordinary bestowal of grace, and has specifically been titled, the Winds of Change. When the stars align both figuratively and literally, not only is insight into what is to come made clear, but also the understanding of how to alter events favourably.

There is certainly overlap in the windfalls given, lending to the reasoning of why customarily all seven are thanked by the breath of a prayer.

Manifestation

From afar it appears as if a turbulent tempest, roving the icy dunes as one would predict. It is only when the flurry of air touches the skin that clarity is inferred. Although it is often uncertain when good fortune is due, the gentle warming breeze felt when the wind sweeps through affirms its presence for all.

The Waxen Wind that Wends brings forth various flickers of light from within, only visible to those inside its immediate vicinity. Ethereal glimpses of what resembles strikes of lightning, glistening pillars of luminosity from the Heavens, and exquisite flashes of gleaming incandescence.
