The writer seems to describe the information he's gathered regarding a ghost in the Conyberry area. Here's an excerpt:
From
my findings, the ghost of Neverwinter Wood is actually a banshee, known
as Agatha. I'm almost certain this name is a variation of the elven
surname Auglathla, which I learned means "Winterbreeze" in an old elven
dialect. She lives in a grove in Neverwinter Wood, northwest of
Conyberry. She seemingly haunts a path that is marked by
birch trees. Her grove appears to be an important landmark in
the Conyberry area.
At one time, it is said her lair, although
well defended, was raided by adventurers who stole her treasure. I
believe she is seeking revenge for the theft and has redirected her
hatred on adventurers like me because of it.
Agatha's lair probably
has new defenses now. I've come to learn the folk of Conyberry regarded
her as a friend or protector. It seems like she used to help them.
Conyberry is nothing but ruins now, the people are long gone. Perhaps
one day I will be able to have her be more agreeable to my presence at the
cabin. I wonder what it would take.
