Codex of Infinite Planes

Artifact

This enormous book is the size of a small table, measuring 3 feet by 2 feet on its sides and 1 foot thick. It weighs 400 pounds. The covers of the Codex are made of some dark obsidian-like material while the pages are made of a flexible dull gray metal that resembles lead. The Codex is wrapped in the black hide of some unidentified reptilian species, with banding, corner protectors, and a pair of latches made out of a brownish metal. It is known that any attempts to look upon let alone read the pages of the Codex are exceptionally dangerous. The Codex is said to grant incredible power to manipulate, create, or destroy planar connections, and it is said to predate the existence of all known gods.

The Codex of Infinite Planes was one of the artifacts used to render the titan Bohu dormant. A ritual conducted by Sonder and Finn, Keryth, Rasheed, Riku, Warlic, and Xanthus of the Hawthorne Guild was performed within Bohu's head to seal the planar connection between Bohu's core in its head and to its true form in the Far Realm. The pages of the Codex then began to detach themselves from the book and fly about the area before vanishing, gone to places unknown.
