After arriving in Breckenridge, the newly-formed Rocky Mountain High pack secured temporary living quarters at a rental cabin on the outskirts of town. The pack researched the location where they would be meeting Luna's Blade and the other Garou from Denver & Colorado Springs. As the restaurant was more upscale than expected, Tir and Ana assisted Ghost and Blood Hammer in finding appropriate attire, and briefing them on basic dining etiquette. Several members took time to contact family or mentors, gaining information on the Sept of Raven's Roost and it's Cairn Warden.
Asa Montgomery - Luna's Blade - Rank 6 - House Wyrmfoe: Severely injured and son killed battling dragons in Russia. Asa moved to Breckenridge with his daughter-in-law and 3 granddaughters. He is NOT happy with the 2 cities sending their "dregs" to Raven's Roost. Why is a Rank 6 Silver Fang guarding a Rank 1 Wyld Cairn in the middle of nowhere?
Dinner gave the Rocky Mountain High pack a good look at the other Garou. There are already clear problems with the other pack's dynamics. Scowl in particular is not happy with the "arrangement" and Forest Ghost sees the opportunity as a source of information on the other pack. Asa tells the incoming Garou that it is up to them to decide their roles in the Sept of Raven's Roost, and take care of the territory in and around Breckenridge. At the conclusion of dinner, the packs were told to meet at the front gates of R&R Ranch at 6:00am the next morning.
Blood Hammer rose early in the morning to hunt breakfast before RMH traveled to the ranch. The newcomers met Calvin & Doug Rogers, kinfolk to the Silver Fang, who showed everyone where to park and how to get to the Cairn. During the truck ride to the Roost, Peter challenges Brass Rain for Cliath rank. She issues him a Marksmanship challenge, which he passes. RMH pack members also learn that Blood Debt is very wealthy, and Scowl is only following her due to her buying land for his lupus kinfolk.
The Heart of the Cairn at Raven's Roost is a monolithic cliff, with the only entrance at the top. After 7 difficult hours of climbing (with assistance from Ghost and Blood Hammer,) all of the new Garou arrive at the top, and granted access to the cairn. They are also all rewarded with a feather from the cairn totem, Raven, which will fly them up and down the cliff as needed. Inside, the walls are covered in handprints of all the Garou who have completed the climbing challenge.
The packs are gruffly greeted by the Bane Tender, Sand in the Wind, and his apprentice, Smoke. (Uktena) A small moot was held to celebrate the new sept members, and formally declare Peter's new rank. All in attendance were gifted with one temporary "dot" in a place of their choosing. (Unless XP is used to make it permanent, it will be lost at the next moot and another temp dot will be chosen.) There were 2 other rank challenges issued during the moot.
Blood Hammer challenged for Rank 3. He was given his rank, but his quest is to hunt and kill an Ananazi (werespider) who is known to lurk around Breckenridge during the summer. He will not be able to move up to Rank 4 until this challenge is completed.
Tir also challenged for Rank 2. He, also, was given his rank, but must find a Stormcrow spirit and place it in a fetish before being able to move up to Rank 3.
Remaining moot business postponed due to game time. Sept positions are TBD at next game.
