The Thin Man, also known as the Tall Man, is a strange, vaguely human being of unknown origin or design. He hides his purpose and desires through a deceptive but genial demeanor, moving along freely in what he believes to be "fate".

Description

The Thin Man is an imposing figure, standing 7 to 8 feet tall, a number that appears to vary. However, his body and limbs are disconcertingly thin and frail, draped by wrinkled skin drawn taut over his bones. He has thinning grey-white hair, a large, thin nose, and eyes with dark irises, as if he simply had two giant pupils. His thin lips are perpetually twisted into an uncomfortable grin. The Thin Man wears extremely finely crafted fitted black suit with red accents and subtle embroidery across its surface.

The Thin Man establishes unease with every word he speaks; his nature makes him difficult to trust for most, even when there is no concrete reason to doubt him. Regardless, he appears to be earnest in most cases, and most if any lies he craft are only lies of omission. He is generally unfazed by the actions of others, and seems to believe that fate will eventually carry him to his destination.

Skills and Abilities

When the Thin Man was captured by traffickers, they held him in a specially made cage covered in arcane script that required a key of blood to unlock. He was unfaze by this, and was capable of producing a strange coin from nowhere during his capture. He was also seen to be capable of slowing the approach of a lathotas through magical mean.

History

The Thin Man was captured during an attempt to "speak with" a man in southern Atherdale, which turned out to be a trap. He was contained within a cage sealed with the blood of Tarmen Elcox, who then escorted the man alonside a number of traffickers north towards the Scratchwood, where the Thin Man was meant to be dropped off to fulfill a contract. However, the group was attacked by bullywugs and later the crazed Lathotas Rampager, resulting in the death of all but Tarmen and the Thin Man. A group of Initiates from the Claw of Arali eventually discovered the two, eventually deciding to use Tarmen's blood to free the Thin Man. In thanks, the Thin Man provided the Initiates with a strange, featureless coin, and slowed the approaching Rampager with strange magic.
