General Description
The Meraguin tend to have beautiful faces with dark bronze skin, and metallic scales. They tend towards having red hair, and glowing blue eyes with black sclera which help absorb light to improve their vision underwater. They are often referred to simply as Merfolk, though this isn't technically correct.

Behaviour
Generally the Meraguin, like many other High Folk races, are a relatively peaceable people but can be hard to interact with due to their race's strict rules. They can also be extremely territorial, especially those still living in the Meraguin Kingdom. Failure to leave “their” area if you are unwelcome will usually be met with as much violence as is necessary to make the intruder leave, but they are reluctant to actually kill people to achieve this.

Culture
Not a massive amount is known about Merfolk culture by those races living on dry land. What is known is that they largely live in underwater cities, are ruled by a monarchy and are sworn to secrecy by their incumbent monarch, so any living on the surface will not tell a soul any details about what goes on at the bottom of the sea.

No Intruders
The locations of some of the Meraguin cities are known, but any attempt to get close to them is met with a hail of thrown tridents or, more effectively, attacks from huge green lobster-like monsters called Leviathans which the Meraguin train to defend their domain. As such next to nothing is known about their society.
