2077. Night City. Poverty? Check. Soulless corpos? Check. Chance of survival? Low. In 1999 Night City was founded. Ever since, its attracted the worst fuckers ever to grace this god-forsaken planet.

Through the ages humanity has expanded and adapted to suit their needs. From the invention of the wheel and fire. To gunpowder and steel. To manned flight and atomic bombs. And now, to space flight and cybernetics. Adaptation in its most primal form, to overcome a burden, to weed out the weak. If history has told humanity anything; Survival is not of the fittest, its of the smartest.

Many changes have occurred in the last 50 or so years, since the end of the new millennia. Implants, the cybernetic augmentation of ones own body to become harder, better, faster, stronger. This trend has consumed both the first world, with its sleek new age design. And the third world with its unlimited potential. While the people consume these products of corporate greed, the corporate world seeks to gain more and more influence in the world. Through espionage, bribery, threats and coercion, they have succeeded in creating a world fit for them to thrive.

Time will only tell if the world will continue along in this status quo, or if a time will come when the people realise the sins created in this greedy world... By the greedy...
