  • The Master and the Apprentice 1/5/2020

Jin Mori grew up on the streets of Mizen until he was brought in by Azuma Mori (Heishi), who taught him how to be a man, and how to use a sword. When Jin found his master dead one morning, he set out to get vengeance for his death. He knew Azuma had enemies in the Heishi Clan - and when he arrived to demand answers, he was attacked by the martial arts teachers of the school. After defeating them, he spared the life of "Shuri" Ken Heishi, who promised him a life debt. Taking up the clan's heirloom blade - the Shingase - he proceeded to fight Yomei Heishi, who had been evidently stricken with a powerful curse. After defeating Yomei, the dark energy surrounding him flowed into Shingase - as if it had belonged there in the first place.

Afterwards, he left the sword in the protection of "Shuri" Ken Heishi, making him promise to keep the sword hidden away. Fearing the wrath of the Heishi Clan and the city guard, he fled the city, taking his first steps into the life of an adventurer.

Escape from Dunbar > 1

Jin Mori and Karna are arrested on false pretenses, and after a close encounter with the wardens of Dunbar Fortress, they are able to escape with their lives. But escaping the island did not mean they were safe...

  • Here There Be Goblins 10/1/2019

Adventurers Jin Mori and Karna set sail for Castle Atneston - the long held stronghold of the Atneston family, and home of Lord Henry Atneston, one of the high lords of Ellonde. They had hoped to sneak in and rob the castle, knowing that Lord Atneston was a rich and corrupt politician, but when they arrived, they found the Castle had been abandoned, and overrun by goblins.

After fighting off the goblins and their pet Owlbear, the two grabbed what little loot they could and headed out to unload their score.

  • Crime and Punishment 11/1/2019

Jin Mori and Karna sailed back to Sasserine with their meager loot in tow. Upon arriving, they sold of a cache of weapons they collected from the Castle, including a sword bearing the insignia of Lord Henry Atneston's personal retinue.

Jin studied blacksmithing under the mentorship of Griggs Kord, and worked with Urin to pull off a small heist in the Grand Market to bolster the pair's gold reserves. Karna spent her time with the poor folks in Shadowshore, spreading out her earnings to feed the hungry.

However, their time in the city was cut short abruptly when the pair was arrested by Captain Reynold Feyfar of the Ellonde Royal Navy. They had been charged with the murder of Lord Henry Atneston, and were to be imprisoned at Dunbar Fortress.

  • The Dungeons of Dunbar 12/31/2019

Jin Mori, Karna, and a Tortle named Pablo found themselves imprisoned in the dungeons below Dunbar Fortress. They had been placed in a holding cell, awaiting their final destination in the cells below, when they managed to break free from their cages and fight their way past the Dunbar Jailers. Before they could make their escape, they were attacked by a horde of skeletons controlled by The Shackled King himself, and they were barely able to escape with their lives.

  • The Escape 1/10/2020

After managing to slip through the grasp of The Shackled King, Karna, Jin Mori, and Pablo boarded a prisoner transport ship disguised as a guard and prisoners.

Strangely, the ship was transporting a load of prisoners away from the island - not to it. Working together with Sigmund Fastolm, Shadow of Cauldron, Tessa Hoth, and Ragnar Björnsson, the group was able to overthrow Vanter Raharson, the ship's captain, sinking it in the process. They also found a Letter from Vanter Raharson to Vigil Fastar in the captain's quarters.

When all was said and done, Jin and Karna were betrayed by the others, getting thrown off of the only escape ship and left to drown.

Journey to Orlaine > 2

After being recruited by the Seekers' Guild, the party heads towards the city of Orlaine in search of an artifact powerful enough to jump-start  The Voyager's Martis Core. But the journey is never as simple as it sounds...

  • Shipwrecked 2/3/2020

Stranded in the middle of the ocean, Jin Mori and Karna were rocked by a massive magical shock-wave originating from Dunbar Fortress. The explosion was powerful enough to create a tidal wave that surged over them and destroyed the life raft being used by The Black Syndicate.

High above, the The Voyager was on a scouting mission, observing the prison. After the explosion nearly knocked them out of the sky and disabled the Martis Core, Eveland Mercer sent Ivory Bones Mainsail, Ivalynn, and Misery in one of the two scout ships to rescue the group stranded in the water whilst they attempted to make it back to shore.

Things got even more complicated when a fleet of The Unchained rose from the depths - all apparently now undead, and began to attack the party. They were able to escape, but were forced to make a crash landing in the Shrouded Woods.

Working together, they gained their bearings and headed to The Voyager, which had been marooned on the beach just to their South. Eveland recognized Karna and gave her the Ring of the Guiding Star which had been left in her care by Orwell Paxton - an old friend and Karna's father figure.

The party decided to join the Seekers' Guild, and Eveland sent them out on their first task - to find an artifact powerful enough to jump-start the Voyager's core.

  • Destruction of Montague 2/5/2020

Before the party headed out for their adventure, Ivory and Karna scouted the Shrouded Woods to get a better lay of the land. In the dark forest, they ran into a large Firbolg potion seller, who Karna decided to name "Willow".

Deeper in the woods, the pair came across a strange hut built over a pond. When they approached, Karna was pulled inside, and Ivory was sent tumbling down into the water below. Inside, a mysterious hooded Triton addressed Karna as if he knew her - and demanded she tell him "Why are you here?".

Meanwhile, Ivory nearly drowned in the water - unable to escape due to magic. Karna freed him from the curse and the hut vanished.

Soon after, the pair heard screams coming from the direction of Montague - and ran across villagers fleeing from undead pirates of The Unchained. After saving the lives of the Berinon family, they snuck past the horde of undead only to witness Montague being burned to the ground, and a massive ritual circle being used to drain the life of captured villagers.

They fled the scene, stealing a small boat and sailing back towards The Voyager. They were able to escape when the Unchained fleet suddenly stopped moving, as if they had run into an invisible wall.

  • Big Tree 2/9/2020

After relaying the news of the destruction of Montague to Eveland Mercer, she sent out a scouting party to investigate. The party headed out into the woods in search of a powerful artifact, but the magical darkness that plagues the Shrouded Woods proved a troublesome setback for the newly pledged Seekers.

They were able to make their way to Big Tree, a small village they had heard of from Willow. In town, the party spoke with Ellatas Berninon and informed him of the tragedy at Montague, his home, and directed him towards The Voyager for safety.

During their stay, a mad sorcerer terrorized the village, claiming its residents had stolen something from him, and summoned a pack of Shadow Hounds to wreak havoc on the town. After the fight, the party spoke with Nathan Ashclaw and learned that a mysterious traveler had passed through town with a strange artifact, headed in the direction of Orlaine.

  • The Mad Sorcerer 2/24/2020

The party decided to head to the north to take on the mad sorcerer. They found his tower and defeated a stone golem guarding the place before entering the tower and fighting Althalos Cromwell, the sorcerer.

The party defeated Cromwell and searched through his notes, finding his gradually more incoherent ramblings about a magic shard that had fallen from the heavens and given him immense power. The party suspected that this shard was taken by the mysterious stranger they heard about from Nathan Ashclaw.

Following their only lead, the party headed out from Big Tree and continued their journey towards Orlaine. Along the way, Misery ate a Deathbloom mushroom, leaving her dying and out of control of her powers. The group was able to locate a healer: a halfling druid named Aben Roundtree, in a nearby village to save her. The druid prepared a magic concoction that would cleanse Misery's mind of the poison - but the process was rough, and left Misery in a hostile state, fighting her companions.

  • Deathbloom 3/11/2020

Misery fought with the party in her incoherent state, lashing out with mind powers as the group attempted to restrain her without doing her any harm. After a brief battle, they were able to do so, but the fight left them exhausted and bleeding.

Soon, they were able to make it Orlaine, the City of Craftsmen, where they took a much needed break from fighting to rest up and look around.

Their respite was short lived however, as Jin Mori and Ivory attempted to steal a Folding Boat and a pair of Dimensional Shackles from a merchant in the Forge. As soon as they walked out of the shop, their hands were magically bound, and alarms began to blare.

The Corrupted City > 3

The party finally reached Orlaine - but it quickly became apparent that making it to their destination did not mean they had achieved their goal. Within the city walls, the party found themselves more often in grave danger than making progress...

  • The Hiest 3/16/2020

Immediately after setting off the alarms, Ivory tossed the Folding Boat up to Misery, flying above. She took off, flying out of the city tailed by two Aarakockra guards. Jin Mori and Ivory however, were not able to escape the numerous guards in the market square. They were captured and loaded into the back of a City Watch carriage before being tazed into unconsciousness.

Misery, fleeing the city by flight, led her pursuers into the forest outside of the walls. There, she was able to elude them, unintentionally killing them in the process.

Meanwhile, Ivalynn was able to follow Jin Mori and Ivory unseen, and tracked the cart to an abandoned warehouse. There, she discovered a secret entrance to the tunnels beneath the city, leaving a hidden marker for her companions before being captured herself.

Misery returned to the city and met back up with Karna. Realizing the party had been taken by fake City Watch members, and with little time to formulate a plan, Karna made a big scene in the square in order to get the two arrested on purpose.

Before they could reach their destination however, Misery activated the Folding Boat in the back of the cart, causing it to rupture through the walls of the cart, injuring herself severely and killing one of the "guards" in the process. Karna and Misery fled the scene in opposite directions.

  • Rescue Mission 3/20/2020

    Karna one off.

After successfully evading the city watch, Karna realizes that the party has been captured by members of The Black Syndicate. In order to find them, she formulated a plan to infiltrate their ranks and pose as a new recruit.

She went into a seedy bar in the Snowbridges, causing a scene and demanding that members of The Black Syndicate take her to their leader. A pair of members attempted to ambush her, but she dealt with them swiftly, forcing one of them to give her the location of the Syndicate's hideout under the city.

Using her Ring of the Guiding Star, she located the hideout entrance in the abandoned winery warehouse. At the door, she declared her intent to join The Black Syndicate. The members, having already been attacked once by Ivalynn, are skeptical, but agree to take her in to the fighting pits to prove her loyalty.

  • Broken 3/22/20

    Misery one-off.

Misery, just barely able to escape the city watch before collapsing, was taken in to Qitra Kriceli's clinic by a good samaritan. Her legs had been completely crushed during the 'Cart Incident' - and would have to be replaced by Magitech counterparts.

During the surgery, Qitra attempted to soothe and console Misery as she slipped in and out of consciousness. While she was asleep, Misery saw visions of strange demons, beckoning her and attempting to break her will. She attempted to fight them, but each time one was slain, she saw only her friends laying dead before her.

When the surgery was complete - she was unable to stand, struggling to make use of her new Magitech legs. Soon after, the City Watch showed up and arrested her. Unable to resist, she was forced to go along with them.

This time however, she had been arrested by the actual City Watch, and not The Black Syndicate. She was taken into the Citadel to await her tribunal.

  • The Fighting Pits 3/30/2020

In The Black Syndicate fighting pits, the party met The Jackal, the leader of the Orlaine division of The Black Syndicate. The Jackal seemed to take a particular interest in Ivory, calling him 'familiar.'

Jin and Ivory were paired with a young boy named Tomlin to fight their way to freedom against the other prisoners.

After defeating a few of the others, they were pitted against the Champion of the pit, which turned out to be Ragnar Björnsson - the Butcher of Orlaine. The three fought against the Butcher, and were just barely able to defeat him, slicing off one of his fingers and taking a ring from him in the process. After the final blow was struck - the party started a prison break amidst the chaos. Syndicate thugs rushed down from the upper levels of the arena to stop them, but the prisoners worked together to free one another, and a riot broke out.

Jin, Ivory, Ivalynn, and Tomlin were able to escape through the tunnels, but Karna decided to push her infiltration a step further. She leapt to the defense of the The Jackal and proclaimed her loyalty. Seeing that the prisoners were winning the battle, The Jackal left the pits with a few bodyguards and Karna in tow.

Escaping back through the tunnels they came from, the party uncovered a cage full of child slaves. They freed the children and loaded them into one of the fake City Watch carts used by the Syndicate, and headed away from the warehouse.

  • Subterfuge 4/13/2020

The party fled the warehouse in their disguised City Watch carriage, with the freed slave children in tow. Driving through the city streets, they saw the Jackal's cart ahead of them, with Karna inside.

Not knowing of Karna's plan, they attempted to fight the Jackal, but she managed to slip away. During the fight, the party crashed their cart with one belonging to the City Watch. They slipped away from the scene and dropped off the slave children, who were terrified and confused by the ordeal.

Karna attempted to fool the Jackal into believing she was on her side. Before she was found out, the Jackal let slip some valuable information, namely that Ragnar Björnsson was not in fact dead, as he could not be killed by mortal means - he is a "Val Shari" - a chosen vessel of a god.

Once the Jackal realized that Karna was working with the party, she challenged her to a duel, telling her that she could not be left alive after seeing so much. The two fought, and Karna was defeated, with the Jackal standing over her, poised to take the killing shot.

Meanwhile, the party were hiding in the city, attempting to find a way to free Misery, and figure out what Karna was up to. After causing a scene while looking for a place to stay for the night, they were rounded up by the City Watch and brought to the Citadel for questioning.

  • The Star Shard 4/27/2020

    Karna one-off.

Before the Jackal could fire off the final shot, time froze. Karna stood, seeing the mysterious Triton before her, time frozen around them. The man spoke to her, saying

"You are weak. Gwyndolin's chosen champion, lain low by a common thug. Pathetic. I have had my doubts before, but it is clear now that she made a mistake in picking you. You stand no chance of defeating the Darkrisen. I offer you a choice: Prove yourself worthy of our cause, or disavow yourself as Champion and I will grant you the gift of a normal life. I can wipe your mind clean from the filth of this world and unburden you of a task that is so clearly beyond the limits of your ability."

He held out to her a strange glowing shard - the same artifact that was described in the journal of Althalos Cromwell. Karna choose to accept the challenge, and took the Shard. She was immediately overcome with its violent power as is seared itself into her hand and began to overtake her.

Time unfroze, and she used the power of the shard to knock the Jackal back and escape. Unable to control the power of the shard, she fled into the woods outside of the city. With the corrupting magic slowly creeping up her arm, she was left with no choice but to take matters into her own hands, and cut her arm off to save herself.

Bleeding and broken, Karna had managed to survive the shard. The Triton appeared before her again in a flash of lightning. Impressed by her resolve, he told her she may yet prove herself worthy. He reached out to her and granted her a new arm - one made of ethereal lightning energy, yet still perfectly solid.

Using this new ethereal arm, Karna took up the Shard once more, and headed into the city to rejoin the party.

  • The Tribunal 4/28/2020

Misery was brought before Aldous Bennett, the Vassal of Orlaine, for her tribunal, and the rest of the party was brought in for questioning at the same time.

After presenting evidence both against the party and in their favor, Aldous admitted that he could neither afford to allow them to stay in the city, nor could he bring down the Jackal without their help. He agreed to let the party go free if they would help him kill the Jackal once and for all. As part of the agreement, he also paid off Misery's debt to Qitra Kriceli.

After the agreement, the party found lodging for the night to finally get a good night's rest. Their sleep was sadly cut short when robed Syndicate assassins entered their rooms to take them out while they slept. To make matters worse, it seemed that Ivory had gone missing.

  • The Butcher of Orlaine 5/18/2020

After fending off the assassins, the party was greeted with the sounds of combat crashing through the city. Rushing outside, they saw that a giant demonic bear, three stories tall, was rampaging through the city - headed straight for them. People in the streets were slaughtered as the demon barrelled through, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

Just as they saw this, Ivory appeared, out of breath and sleep deprived. He told the others that he had managed to kill Alyse Commonbrook, the Jackal, during the night, and he brought her mechanical arm to prove it. With no time to discuss, the party fled the city, attempting to lure the bear away from civilization.

As they fled, Tessa Hoth, Sigmund Fastolm, and the Shadow of Cauldron appeared through a portal and engaged the bear in combat. Sig told the party that the bear demon was Ragnar Björnsson, and that he could not afford a second Red Blizzard.

Agreeing to a temporary truce, the party leapt into the Folding Boat with Sig as the Syndicate members tried to slow Ragnar down. After getting him out of the city, the party were able to defeat Ragnar with the help of the Syndicate leaders, who left with Ragnar through another portal.

Having finished their job, and not wanting to head back into the city, the party pressed onward in the Folding Boat - sending back only Jin and Karna with proof of the Jackal's death to complete their contract.

  • Returning to Orlaine, Jin and Karna were greeted as heroes - thunderous applause heralded the "Heroes of Orlaine" who "slayed the Butcher". The pair climbed into a carriage with Aldous Bennett, who told them he knew that the Butcher was not dead, but that the city needed a story of hope and inspiration if they were to finally defeat the Syndicate.

Before their contract could be completed, Aldous had the Jackal's arm sent to an Artificer to determine its authenticity. In the mean time, he asked Jin and Karna to walk through the streets as heroes for a while and inspire hope in the wake of destruction. Not wanting to be called heroes and lie about the real events, they reluctantly agreed. Still confused by the situation, and skeptical of Ivory's story about how he defeated the Jackal, they set out to investigate.

They came across a detective named Aesir working for the City Watch - and accompanied him on his investigation. They found a buried cell in the Snowbridges, hidden under an abandoned house, that had been ripped open from inside and destroyed. They figured Ragnar Björnsson must have escaped from there and rampaged through the city after resurrecting from his death in the Fighting Pits. They also found the Jackal's safehouse, but it had been recently abandoned.

Aesir was called away to another scene, and told the pair to wait for him at his office in the Citadel. However, after waiting for some time, he never arrived. Soon after, a messenger informed them, along with Aldous, that Aesir had been attacked and taken captive by The Black Syndicate. Fearing that the Jackal may still be alive, Jin and Karna rushed to the scene to find Aesir. They followed a trail left at the scene into the woods to the north of the Snowbridges, and discovered an encampment set up by the Syndicate.

In the camp they saw the Jackal torturing Aesir for information, and immediately they came up wit ha plan to rescue him. They were successful in rescuing Aesir, but they were spotted by the Syndicate and chased out of the forest.

Back in Orlaine, the pair made a plan with Aldous to attack the Syndicate encampment and wipe them out for good. Aldous summoned the entire City Watch, roughly 200 strong, and together with Jin and Karna they set out that evening to fight.

After they arrived at the forest however, the Jackal revealed that half of the Watch's forces were loyal to her - and fighting broke out among their ranks as Syndicate members poured out from the forest to take them on.

Not wanting the Jackal to escape, the pair charged into the forest after her. They knew it was a trap, but they chose to go in anyway. In the woods, they found the Jackal, but were surrounded by Syndicate assassins hidden in the trees. Just when all hope seemed lost, the Shadow of Cauldron appeared from the darkness and gave them aid. Together they were able to defeat her, but she managed to escape before the killing blow was struck.

After the battle, the Shadow of Cauldron revealed himself as "Shuri" Ken Heishi - an old friend of Jin's. He told the pair that he has been working with the Syndicate for years in order to destroy hem from the inside to get revenge for his murdered family. He had taken up Shingase, but the blade had cursed him, just as it had his old master, and he returned it to Jin, unable to carry it any longer. When he took up the sword, Jin collapsed, and saw a vision of his true past, and that his soul had become somehow broken and tethered to the blade.

Returning to Aldous, the pair saw that the Watch had won the battle - though only just. Less than a quarter of the Watch's forces were left standing, but the remaining Syndicate forces had retreated when they saw that their leader had been beaten.

Aldous thanked the pair for their help, and at their request, formed the Aldous Bennett's Freedom Seekers - a group of his most trusted comrades, whose sole purpose was to root out any remaining Syndicate members and cleanse the city of corruption.

Before leaving, pair convinced Qitra Kriceli to join the Seekers' Guild and accompany them as a healer. To take her place, they sent word to Aben Roundtree, who agreed to take over her clinic and help the victims of Ragnar Björnsson.

The Fall of Triston > 4

After finding a Star Shard - an artifact capable of powering The Voyager - the group headed back to the Seekers. But before they could celebrate their victory, there were more pressing matters to attend to. The Unchained were expanding, and the line they could not cross had made its way to Triston...

  • The River 6/1/2020

Jin and Karna caught up with the rest of the party after several days of travel. Along the way, Karna noticed strange lesions on Qitra's arms and back, which she seemed ashamed of.

Once reunited with the party - they had a discussion about what had happened in Orlaine, and how Ivory had lied to them about the Jackal. With no other choice, Ivory revealed that the Jackal was actually his long lost sister, who he had not seen in roughly a decade. He had tried to convince her to leave the city so that things would work out for both parties involved, but his plan had not gone how he had hoped. After a tense discussion, the party agreed to move on, and that they would still have each other's backs, no matter what.

On the journey, the party came across a toll gate blocking the river into the Golden Coast. Nearby, a merchant named Rahm hired the party to get him through the gate, as the guards would not let him through. They approached the gate, but when they could not make it through either, a fight broke out.

  • The Betrayal 6/15/2020

During their fight with the guards, Ivory decided to betray the merchants who hired them, and turned back to attack their ship. Chaos broke out as their burning ship crashed into the gate. Above, in the tower, the rest of the party was busy dealing with the guards, and Red, their leader.

Leaving Jin and Karna to deal with Red, the others headed outside and sunk the merchant's ship. Rahm, the gnomish merchant, was killed when the ship sunk. Brahn the blacksmith however, was able to escape, and began approaching the party to get revenge for his fallen friend.

Inside, Jin and Karna were able to subdue Red and take him prisoner. They found documents that proved the gatehouse was really a recent ploy by The Black Syndicate to gouge merchants for money - although they had an actual crown sponsored trade license to do so.

With the gate destroyed, the party took Red with them onto the Folding Boat and sailed away, leaving Brahn behind on the shore. Before leaving for good, Jin attempted to go back and save Rahm, but he was already dead. He went to pay his respects to Brahn, and as they sailed off, Brahn prepared a funeral pyre in silence.

  • Reunion 6/23/2020

Misery, Karna, and Qitra had a conversation with Red, learning more about his past and placing a small amount of trust in him. After several days at sea, Misery decided to free Red from his binds. Together, the party arrived back at The Voyager, where they learned that The Unchained had grown closer. According to scouts sent out by Captain Mercer, the fleet was steadily moving outward along an invisible circular perimeter centered around Dunbar Fortress.

With this knowledge, the Seekers' Guild powered up The Voyager using the Star Shard, and headed out for Triston, believing it could be in danger as the perimeter expanded.

After defeating the Deathblooms, the party headed to speak with the Elderspore. The guards outside told them he was busy communing with the "Root Mother", and that he could not be disturbed. Misery was able to sneak in, and witnessed the Elderspore speaking with a projection of the apparent "Root Mother", who appeared as a beautiful, vaguely elven woman with long flowing hair. She attempted to communicate with the figure, but was unable to.

Meanwhile, the rest of the party searched the library for clues, obtaining a selection of books on various topics they hoped would be helpful. They were able to find the books they were looking for, but the text was so old they could not easily understand it. The books included:

    • Daragor and the Lycan Gods
    • Fae Folk and other Creatures of the Ancient Wood
    • Root
    • The History of Dunbar Fortress
    • The Underdark
    • Lusty Dragonborn Maid

After returning to the Elderspore, he told the party that the four of them would be granted passage through the Forest if they could pass the Trial of Izhun. The party agreed, and left Tomlin and Red behind to enter the trial.

Inside, the party was greeted with a treacherous puzzle dungeon - after solving each of the trials within, a portal was opened before them, and together they all stepped in, headed to a place unknown.

  • Welcome to Tirna'noc 10/2/2020

Karna and Eveland worked together to rescue Janara and Shireen Berninon from the Forest Guardians attacking The Voyager. The pair were heavily injured, but were able to defeat the monsters.

While patching Karna up, Qitra revealed that she knew who the leader of the undead army at Triston was. She said he was known as the "Flesh Ripper", the infamous creator of the Blackrot. She also said he had been imprisoned at Dunbar Fortress. Karna also knew him - he was Mirrum - one of the Dunbar Jailers she had helped kill when she escaped the prison.

Running low on fuel, and unable to locate the group in the Forest Of Ancients, Eveland decided that she would take The Voyager to safety outside of the forest while Leon tried to locate Mytopia. Karna however, would take the last scout ship and a small crew to the Elder Tree to await the survivor's arrival.

When they arrived, a Forest Guardian began to close in on the landing spot. Before she headed back to the ship, Karna ran into a fairy named Hessetal. She made a deal with the fairy to find her friends in exchange for three of their souls. Together, they headed high into the branches of the Elder Tree, to a city of fairies known as Tirna'noc. There, she was approached by a strangely familiar looking figure...

  • The First Gardener 10/16/2020

Inside the mysterious portal to Tirna'noc, the party was visited by visions of the past. Jin saw a blacksmith that looked like himself, forging a powerful weapon for his lover - a beautiful red-headed woman who wielded the blade valiantly. He also saw as the blacksmith mourned for her after her death, forging a fragment of her blade into Shingase. Ivory saw himself receiving Devil's Tongue from a figure he later realized was the First Gambler, Nix. Ivalynn saw herself creating the IAC Mk 1 using a fragment of an ancient blade to fuel its power. Misery saw herself receiving her dagger from her old master, Ulric, who warned her that it was "more dangerous than an ordinary dagger". Karna saw herself finding Syndalhairn at the request of Gwyndolyn.

In Tirna'noc, Karna was approached by Izhun, who told her that she would let the world fall in order to save her "children" - the inhabitants of the Forest Of Ancients. She offered to let Karna and the others stay in Tirna'noc with them, but Karna was offended at her willingness to let the world suffer, and drew her weapon to fight for her beliefs.

A battle ensued, in which Karna killed Hessetal. The rest of the party showed up through the portal in the chaos, and Izhun, feeling threatened, attacked the party and drove them out of the city.

Karna's crew from the Seekers' Guild caught the party and together they hid in the forest overnight to regroup and come up with a plan, realizing that the survivors in Mytopia were now in danger of Izhun's wrath.

  • Into the Fire 11/8/2020

The party teleported into Tirna'noc, leaving behind the scout ship, and ambushed two fairy guards protecting the portal into the city. They forced one of the guards, named Varis to tell them the locations of three other fairy strongholds linked by the portal, and then activate the portal into Mytopia. They captured Varis and took him prisoner. Once in Mytopia, the party agreed to leave the city and take the refugees from Triston with them, headed southeast towards The Voyager. Ivory made a deal with Varis that he would guide the party to Oasis in exchange for his freedom.

Before they had gotten very far, Ivory suddenly exploded in a massive fiery eruption, killing Jin, Varis, Red, Tomlin, Driindar, Noraka, and half of the survivors.

Believing that this explosion was the work of Izhun, Karna swore an oath of vengeance against her.

Karna, Ivalynn, and Misery headed back through Mytopia towards the portal, only to find the city had collapsed during the explosion. They pressed on through the burning city, leaving the Elderspore to die, and activated the portal to Tirna'noc once more. They infiltrated the city, alongside Vishara and tore through the ranks of Knights of the Unseen Court, challenging Izhun to come out and face them. She emerged, and an epic battle ensued. In the end, as Ivalynn was struck down, she fired off a final shot, killing the First Gardener.

  • Eye of the Beholder 11/25/2020

Jin and Ivory awoke in a dark cavern, the unconscious forms of the others consumed by the explosion laying all around them. Nix, the First Gambler, sat at a table nearby. He explained that he was "tired of playing the others' games" and that they were "running out of time." He invited the pair of them to play a game of Three Headed Serpent in exchange for their comrades freedom, and told them they would be sent back to their world after 12 hours. Jin accepted the deal, and wagered two of his fingers in exchange for Red and Tomlin. After winning the round however, Nix still forced him to give up two of his fingers, and then vanished.

Immediately after, the group was attacked by a Beholder. They were able to defeat it, but Driindar was killed in the process. After the battle, they realized that the survivors were quickly disappearing into the darkness, including Varis and Noraka. Following their only lead, they headed out into the dark in search of a way out, but found a group of mindflayers instead.
