Flood Festival

Holiday

Each year, Cauldron City celebrates the Flood Festival - a period of time in which the groundwater swells to its highest point and when rainfall is at its highest. During the festival there are rings of concentric parades that dance through the streets, and people from all over the realm come to take part in the festivities, especially the Mud Slinging activities, in which people take handfuls of mud from the soaked earth around the lake and throw it at one another for fun. Think of Holi (the festival of colors in India) but with mud instead of colorful powders.
