The big city of Heldencoast, located on the southern west coast of the North American continent. One of the fastest growing cities in the 21st century. One of the cities, where heroes and villains battle nearly every day. You are one of the few that are born with such special abilities. Or gained them, one way or the other. But more so you're a teenager, who just finished middle school. And after this summer, you're finally starting your last school years at Cape Coast High, the best highschool in all of Heldencoast-City.

The New Generation

I've never done this before... do you think there's a class for it?

Girl who came into her powers spontaneously, and decided to take up a heroic mantle. However with no connection into the life of heroes, she finds herself struggling to balance the mask of a normal girl and a champion of the people. Between all the responsibilities of her civilian life, and heroics... You might say her greatest power is stretching herself too thin without snapping. Not yet, anyway.

A little bit of an overachiever and planner she has lofty goals. She joined the student council to follow in the footsteps of her older sister and personal hero, Rose Davis, to make the world a better place in both her civilian and heroic identity. Works as a barista at Dom's Donut Shoppe, she intended to quit after summer but was convinced to stay part-time.

Has her mother's diary and reads through it from time to time.

The City

Big city at the west coast of the United States of America. It's always sunny, always beach time, and there's always a villain right around the corner. The headquarters of A.E.G.I.S. is right in the city center, with their biggest bureau also acting as the first point of contact for anyone searching for help, resources, or assistance on a probable awakening of superhuman abilities.

One of the most touristy parts of the city is the beach promenade. It's nearly as famous as Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles. With sunshine and summer-like temperatures all year long, life feels like an endless beach-party.

Countless people from countless cultures and walks of life populate this great city. It’s a contradictory and wonderful combination of darkness and light, crime and heroism, corruption and hope, past mistakes and the promise of change. It’s always been the city of tomorrow and yesterday, and that’s never been more true than today.

Cape Coast High, or CCH, is one of the highschools in Heldencoast City, but by far the most renowned and prestigious. The great hero Phoenix Punch is an alumnus, and rumor has it a lot of other superhumans either went here or are attending right now.

Cape Coast High is completely modern and uses the newest technology to fulfill their educational duties. Every student there gets a special tablet, a so called CC-Link, that is linked to them specifically and can be used to access the school's network, social media hub, club activities, knowledge base, teaching schedules, and student information.

The classes at Cape Coast High are numbered, using the simple Numeral - Letter principal. First years at the school are normally in class 1, and depending on a lot of administrative reasons, get put into the different classes, ranging from A to E.

Every student at the school has to go through the A.E.G.I.S.-Check Up every two years, where Healthcare workers and A.E.G.I.S.-Agents check on the students health and possible corruption or  power-development. This happens in absolute privacy, and none of the results will get shared. Parents or caregivers can opt out their children with a written statement.

Those checkups are used to determine if someone holds potential to be a superhero in the future and provide them with the appropriate assistance.

The former name of the park was "Hero Park", but most locals did not like the over-herofication of their city, so officials changed the name after a few months of debating and public demonstrations.

The whole park is still mostly hero-themed, some of the attractions are build having some of the older heroes in mind, some are even called after prominent villains. Most people living in Heldencoast City are eligible for seasonal tickets to the park, and so it has become a lively spot to meet up and spend the majority of summer vacation in there.

Some special events include inviting A.E.G.I.S.-Officials or even Heroes themselves.

Important People and Organizations

Y'know, life's hard a lot of the time, but at least we're makin' the best outta it.

Just a guy. With a gun. He previously used his gun for petty thievery but never really earned much for his crimes. He was so unsuccessful he never even made it onto any heroes' radar. When he tried to threaten Bunny Girl and Green One to scare some money out of them, they both scolded him (he only understood Bunny Girl), He couldn't help but laugh.

Whenever this story is told he says: "I was like, 'Okay these dudes are awesome'. They were hilarious!" Bunny Girl told him to do 'something important with his life'. Those words stuck with him and he decided to register as a hero with them.

His superpower is actually just teleporting his gun in his hands, no matter how far away it is.

Part of the Disastrio.

We are trying to bring order into this chaos.

The Advanced Expert Group for Intervention and Security.

It's a governmental agency for the superhuman world. Its roots go way back to the Gold Generation, but its changed a great deal over the years. At this point, it has agents and strike teams, superhuman holding facilities, a tremendous intelligence network, and more. When superhuman law enforcement is necessary, it comes from A.E.G.I.S. That makes them somewhere between a constant thorn in the side of the superheroes of every major city, and one of their strongest allies.

Only the highest-level agents of A.E.G.I.S. know who’s on the current Board of Directors. They’re all either agents or important people in the superhuman community or the world at large. And the decisions they make are ostensibly for the good of the whole world...but superheroes have come into conflict with A.E.G.I.S. and its Board plenty of times, either publicly or secretly.

A.E.G.I.S. is always on the lookout for new talent, for those who can do what needs doing to keep the world safe from genuine superhuman threats. It’s found agents even among the young. A.E.G.I.S. keeps files on everyone and fosters and recruits new talent wherever possible. But A.E.G.I.S. isn’t a place to be a superhero—it’s a place to be an agent, a servant of a greater purpose that pushes you to make hard decisions. Joining A.E.G.I.S. can change you, and not always for the better.

I expected different. Funny coincidence.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Hau Zhu came to Heldencoast City to become a full-fledged hero. But after accidentally derailing an entire train with one of her punches, she was categorized as a Threat Level D villain. After The Daily Slice used that as a big new headline for weeks on end, every chance she had at redemption got nipped in the bud right from the beginning.

Before she could leave Heldencoast City again to return to her hometown, some of the villains approached and welcomed her, finally convincing her to stay, fighting on their side, instead of against them now.
