A particular type of briar native to the western Tempest Hills but especially prominent around Thornwick.

Due to the abundance of thorns, it's common to shred hands and equipment trying to gather the wood.

Culinary Uses
The roots can be used as a bitter flavoring in teas, but the plant has little to no nutritional value.
Practical Uses
Makes excellent tinder (and kindling, if you snap off the thorns to use) and burns very brightly in even small amounts without producing as much heat. Well suited for torches and worryingly flammable houses.
