Backstory

Early Years

Tell me where you see this character as a child? What does their home look like?

Created by Forest Gnomes, no childhood

Who else is in the home? Any animals or pets?

No home, had a shelter/barn that protected me from weather

And the area. Where is your home? Is it a village? A farm? A city? Something else

Lived in the same village as Nyx, where i was created to hunt down smaller Monsters that live in the Forest.

What does your family do to make money?

no family, was working as indentured worker for the gnomes, they provided me with stuff to repair my equipment

How religious are you and your family?

I don't understand, why should I pray to a god, what have they done for me? Gnomes created me, the wilderness showed me how to survive.

Tell me about a rumour you heard about the surrounding area.

Tell me a rumour you heard about one of your parents.

no parents

Tell me what you believe about yourself/what you think is your greatest attribute?

Tell me about your friends. (at least 2)

Tell me about your enemies / rivals. (at least 2)

The Maturing

What do you do for fun? What are your hobbies and pastimes?

What kind of work are you required to do? Do you have an apprenticeship? Or education?

I had to work for the gnomes

Tell me about your teachers/mentors/masters. How was your relationship with them?

They treated me like their property, except Nyx and her family. I did not particular like being treated like that.

What are you interested in outside of your work or studies? What are your passions?

Which of the divine faiths have caught your attention and why?

None, I don't get it, the only one that might be interesting Avalyra but they always want to help others and stuff which is annoying.

Tell me a rumour about one of your rivals.

Tell me about a tragedy that you experienced.

What are your ambitions/life goals/dreams?

I want to find out if there exists someone like me out there, while protecting Nyx as she played a major part in me becoming free.

Racial traits

Warforged Resilience

You were created to have remarkable fortitude, represented by the following benefits.

  • You have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and you have resistance to poison damage.
  • You are immune to disease.
  • You don’t need to eat, drink, or breathe.
  • You don’t need to sleep and don’t suffer the effects of exhaustion due to lack of rest, and magic can’t put you to sleep.

Sentry's Rest

When you take a long rest, you must spend at least six hours in an inactive, motionless state, rather than sleeping. In this state, you appear inert, but it doesn’t render you unconscious, and you can see and hear as normal.

Integrated Protection

Your body has built-in defensive layers, which determine your armor class. You gain no benefit from wearing armor, but if you are using a shield, you apply its bonus as normal.

You can alter your body to enter different defensive modes; each time you finish a long rest, choose one mode to adopt from the Integrated Protection table, provided you meet the mode’s prerequisite.

Darkwood Core (unarmored) None 11 + your Dexterity modifier (add proficiency bonus if proficient with light armor)
Composite Plating (armor) Medium armor proficiency 13 + your Dexterity modifier (maximum of 2) + your proficiency bonus.
Heavy Plating (armor) Heavy armor proficiency 16 + your proficiency bonus; disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common.

Vorschlag Background feature

Feature: At Home in the Wild

The wilderness is your home and you are comfortable dwelling in it. You can find a place to hide, rest, or recuperate when out in the wild. This place of rest is secure enough to conceal you from most natural threats. Threats that are supernatural, magical, or are actively seeking you out might do so with difficulty depending on the nature of the threat (as determined by the DM). However, this feature doesn’t shield or conceal you from scrying, mental probing, nor from threats that don’t necessarily require the five senses to find you. Note: This feature is a variant of the Folk Hero feature.
